Nicki Minaj remains innocent and free until proven guilty!

The prolific rapper can still enjoy the comfort of her home as no order has been given to arrest her yet amid fresh allegations of physical assault by her former employee.

Nicki Minaj was name-dropped in a civil lawsuit submitted by her former manager, Brandon Garrett, where he accused the rapper of getting physically violent with him during one of her tour stops in the United States.

Official reports from the Wayne County Prosecutor's office confirmed that the Detroit Police Department's existing warrant request had been reviewed, and a verdict had been reached.

The spokesperson for Wayne County noted that the rapper would not be arrested. They have decided to deny the warrant because there is insufficient evidence to tie the rapper to the allegations or prove that she committed the crime.

TMZ confirmed that the Prosecutor's office also ordered the police to conduct more investigation into the allegation so that they could make proper arrests.

Garrett Accused The Rapper Of Threatening His Life

According to her former manager, the rapper became aggressive with him after performing on the Detroit leg of her "Gag City" tour in April 2024.

In a report by The Blast, he claimed that the rapper called him into her dressing room and probed him alongside other team members about their respective duties.

He claimed that Minaj got into a violent mode after discovering he had told someone else to get her prescription, prompting Minaj to yell:

"Are you f—ing crazy having him pick up my prescription? You have lost your f—ing mind, and if my husband were here, he would knock out your f-cking teeth. You're a dead man walking. You just f—ed up your whole life and you will never be anyone, I'll make sure of it."

Garrett added that the rapper hit him on the right side of his face with an open hand, making his hat trip off. He also accused her security team of barging into him before she dealt him her right hand.

The former manager claimed he took solace in a restroom for hours, his face injured and his wrist throbbing. He then called his fiancee to explain what had happened, as Minaj's team had left him stranded in Detroit.

Minaj's Legal Team Fired Back At Garrett's Allegations

Minaj's former manager is dragging her to court for assault, battery, and intentional infliction of emotional distress. He is seeking undisclosed damages for these allegations.

Her legal team immediately swung into action, emphasizing that the controversial rapper was innocent of every allegation Garrett made in his filing. The actress's attorney, Judd Burstein, issued a statement to that effect:

"At this time, no complaint has been served upon Mrs. Petty (Nicki's married name), and therefore, we are unaware of the specific allegations. However, if the lawsuit is as reported by TMZ, it is completely false and frivolous. We are confident that the matter brought by this ex-assistant will be resolved swiftly in Mrs. Petty's favor."

This is not the artist's first involvement in a legal dispute with her employee. Three years ago, her former stylist, Maher Jridi, sued, claiming she refused to return designer items borrowed and did not pay for his services.

Jridi alleged that Minaj's actions violated his agreements with luxury fashion brands, putting him in financial distress and making it difficult to pay for the items. He also claimed that her refusal to pay his fees further strained their relationship.

Minaj's Father's Hit And Run Killer Moved To Depose Her In A Wrongful Death Lawsuit

Last year, a New York judge granted her father's alleged killer a plea to get her to sit for a deposition and answer questions about her rough childhood with her father.

The Blast shared that the rapper was billed to appear for the deposition in California, where the driver, named Charles Polevich, would ask Minaj about her father's history of domestic violence, according to her songs.

The business mogul's mother sued Polevich over her husband's death when she accused him of hitting Robert as he crossed the street in Long Island. Carol Maraj added that Polevich fled the accident scene, drove his Volvo 1992 Station Wagon home, and covered it with a tarp.

However, local authorities eventually tracked him down through security footage, and he was charged with tampering with physical evidence and leaving the accident scene. Polevich was sentenced to one year in jail in 2022.

In a shocking twist, the host revealed after her dad's death that they were already mending the broken fences. She admitted that her father, Robert, was, unfortunately, a victim when it came to his battles with drugs.

"I think about watching my father go back and forth [with addiction], and I just wish that at the time I understood that he wasn't doing it because he wanted to," she disclosed in her Vogue 2023 confessional

The performer also dedicated a few songs on her recent album to the loving memory of her father, rapping about their improved relationship before he passed away.
