According to the Daily Mail, the Sussexes' real estate decisions have paid off handsomely, as their luxurious nine-bedroom estate in Montecito has doubled in value since they purchased it in 2020.

Initially bought for $14.65 million, the property's value has soared to over $29 million. The Montecito mansion, known as "The Chateau," is a breathtaking property built in 2003. The estate, nestled on 5.4 acres of lush gardens with stunning sea views, has been described as a "hidden paradise."

Bordered by impeccably manicured hedges, the grand stone-pillared gates open to a lane paved with hand-cut Santa Barbara stone, leading through an archway of trees to the main house.

Despite the idyllic setting of Harry and Meghan's home, the Duchess chose not to film her upcoming Netflix series there.

Speaking to Newsweek, Charlie Lankston, executive editor at Realtor.com, noted that there would still be increased interest in Harry and Meghan's home thanks to the Netflix show, regardless of the location it was filmed.

"The release of Meghan's new Netflix series, 'With Love, Meghan,' will undoubtedly only increase interest in the couple's home life—despite the fact that it wasn't actually filmed inside the couple's marital mansion, but rather at a borrowed property just a few minutes away," Lankston said.

For her show, the Duchess rented an eight-acre luxurious estate worth $8 million, which is filled with avocado trees and lemon groves.
