Comedian Hannah Berner is facing intense backlash after making an "extremely sexist" joke about Taylor Swift's relationship with Travis Kelce during a recent stand-up set.
Berner began her bit with a reference to Luigi Mangione, the 26-year-old charged with the murder of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson, poking fun at how he is "so hot right now."
However, Hannah Berner quickly pivoted, drawing an unexpected comparison between Luigi Mangione and Travis Kelce.

The footage, taken from Netflix's "Torching 2024: A Roast of the Year," shows Berner making a joke about Taylor Swift's relationship with Travis Kelce that many fans found offensive.
Berner quipped, "Who knew besides Travis Kelce that you could become so popular with women by shooting loads into a billionaire?"
Swifties took to X, the social media platform formerly known as Twitter, to express their outrage after the "wildly inappropriate" clip of comedian Hannah Berner went viral.
One Taylor Swift called Berner's joke "outright vile" for "objectifying" the pop icon.
Another claimed it was "degrading to Taylor."
Social Media Erupts After Joke Goes Viral
"The number of people defending this because they feel like it's fine to say anything you want about a rich celebrity even if you wouldn't dare say it about someone you actually know. It's giving 'there's a Taylor-shaped hole in people's ethics,'" one X user said in response to the comments from other social media users.
"Oof. That is such a bad taste joke," another noted.
"I really liked her, but this is just disappointing and not funny at all," a third person admitted.
Hannah Berner Previously Faced Backlash

This isn't the first time Hannah Berner has faced backlash for her jokes. Just last week, the comedian stirred controversy with another remark from the same Netflix roast, where she referred to Blake Lively as a "c-nt" in the midst of the actress's ongoing drama with Justin Baldoni surrounding their film adaptation of "It Ends With Us."
On December 27, Berner addressed the backlash, clarifying that her set was filmed before Lively's accusations against Baldoni made headlines.
"To be 100 percent clear, I support Blake xoxo," the former reality TV star wrote on her Instagram Stories at the time.
As The Blast reported, Blake Lively has filed a sexual harassment lawsuit against Justin Baldoni, accusing him of fostering a "hostile work environment" on the set of their upcoming film, "It Ends With Us." In the lawsuit, filed with the California Civil Rights Department, Lively claims that Baldoni "ignored well-established industry protocols in filming intimate scenes and exploited the lack of controls on set to behave inappropriately."
Blake Lively Files Lawsuit Against Justin Baldoni
The 37-year-old actress alleges that Baldoni engaged in sexual misconduct during production, prompting a formal meeting to address her concerns. During this meeting, Baldoni and his production company reportedly agreed to several of her demands, including:
- "No more showing nude videos or images of women to Blake."
- "No more mention of Baldoni's alleged previous pornography addiction."
- "No more discussions about sexual conquests in front of Blake and others."
Additionally, Lively's lawsuit claims that Baldoni hired crisis PR expert Melissa Nathan, known for her previous work with Johnny Depp during his high-profile defamation trial against Amber Heard.
The lawsuit also accuses Baldoni of attempting to damage Lively's reputation through a targeted social media campaign. The allegations have added significant tension to the film's production and raised broader questions about on-set accountability and workplace safety in Hollywood.
Blake Lively Expressed Concerns Regarding Her Career
In August, a source told the Daily Mail that Blake Lively had expressed concerns about the potential impact of the ongoing controversies surrounding "It Ends With Us" on her career and reputation.
According to the insider, Lively had initially seen her role in the film as "her moment to shine," a significant opportunity to showcase her talent on a larger scale. However, she now fears that the negative publicity surrounding the production could jeopardize her standing in the industry and overshadow the film's success.
"Blake is definitely saddened by the hate she is getting and is trying not to let it affect her, but it is," the source said at the time. "She thought this was her moment to shine, but is now looking at it like the end of her career. She's fearing no one will want to work with her after this."
They added, "She really wants to continue producing and directing and acting, but she knows she needs to take a step back for a minute to reassess the future."
