Nina Dobrev Marks First Christmas With Shaun White 'As Fiancées' By Posting Festive Photo Dump

Nina Dobrev and her fiancé, Shaun White, spent their first Christmas together as an engaged couple, and the actress gave fans a peek into their fun holiday moments.

Taking to her Instagram page, Dobrev shared photos and videos of their time spent at what appears to be a mountain resort.

Shaun White proposed to Nina Dobrev at a popular restaurant after tricking the actress into thinking she was going for a Vogue dinner with fashion icon Anna Wintour.

Dobrev and White are certainly on top of the world as the couple had bright smiles in photos and videos shared by the "The Vampire Diaries" star to mark their first Christmas together as an engaged couple.

The actress shared the photos and videos with her almost 30 million Instagram followers, captioning the post, "first Christmas as fiancées."

In the first shot in the photo dump, White can be seen grinning at the camera in his hand as he takes a selfie with Dobrev, who is smiling at him.

The couple appeared to be at a snowy mountain resort with family members for the holiday, as another photo featured Dobrev snuggling with two smiling kids.

White and Dobrev were also pictured posing in front of a beautifully decorated Christmas tree and playing with a dog in the snow in a lighthearted video.

In the comment section of the actress' post, Dobrev and White received season's greetings from fans who were happy to see the newly engaged couple's holiday photo dump.

One person said, "Nina, you don't know how much I'm happy for you! You finally found your one."

Another said, "They are made for each other," while a third noted, "Aging backwards! best couple."

However, some fans were more interested in Dobrev's engagement ring, which stole the spotlight in pictures from the photo dump.

"Girl, how do you not have a panic attack riding with that rock, [?]" a fan asked.

Another commented, "All i see is a rock, and it sends me every time."

The couple's holiday outing comes almost two months after White proposed to Dobrev at the Golden Swan restaurant.

In an interview with Vogue, Dobrev revealed that the engagement was a surprise. She had come to the restaurant thinking she was going to have an intimate CFDA/Vogue dinner with Anna Wintour.

However, upon walking into where the dinner was scheduled to take place, she found White standing under an arch of roses.

"I went into shock. I just froze and stared at him," Dobrev said of the experience, adding that she repeatedly uttered the words "No" as she couldn't believe White was about to pop the question.

White and Dobrev began dating in 2019 after meeting each other at an event in Florida. They moved in together the following year and made their relationship official on Instagram.

Before the snowboarder's proposal, he had tried to pop the question twice, but unexpected situations thwarted each one.

The first was during the previous November while they were on a trip to Cape Town, South Africa. However, when their friends asked when they would get engaged, White thought pushing the proposal to a different time was best.

White also wanted to propose to Dobrev during their summer vacation this year but scrapped the plan after the actress unexpectedly fractured her knee while riding a bike.

During a chat with Us Weekly, White opened up about his romance with Dobrev and how they kept the fire burning in a long-distance relationship.

"We have a nice little system of how to stay in touch," he said in 2021. "Plane tickets are pretty much booked for any opportunity that we can go see one another."

The skateboarder continued, "So, I know during the holiday break, we're going to meet up, and we're going to meet up again probably around Christmas time. Anything that happens in between, then I'll jet over and see her. You just make it work."

White added, "I think that's the goal of it all, and the key to it all is just making the time. [Nina's] super organized and on top of it, so I give it to her. She always finds a way to make it happen."
