‘Teen Mom’ Star Kailyn Lowry Undergoes Transformative Procedure

Kailyn Lowry is embracing a new chapter in her health journey after undergoing breast reduction surgery. The "Teen Mom 2" alum shared a post-operation selfie on Instagram earlier this week, officially confirming the procedure to her millions of followers.

Lowry, who first rose to fame in the early 2010s on "16 & Pregnant" and "Teen Mom 2," gave birth to her first son, Isaac, at just 17 years old.

Now a mother of seven children—Isaac, Lincoln, Lux, Creed, Rio, and twins Verse and Valley—Kailyn Lowry is no stranger to navigating motherhood in the public eye.

In a newly uploaded photo to her Instagram Stories, Lowry is all smiles, flashing a peace sign for her fans. In the caption, she wrote, "4 days post-op... Do you want breast reduction videos?" and included a poll for her followers to cast their votes.

On her “Almost Famous” podcast, Lowry revealed that her doctors required her to lose at least 40 to 50 pounds before they would approve her for the procedure. She admitted to being initially uncertain about whether she wanted a reduction, implants, or a lift, but ultimately decided that reducing her breast size was the right choice for her.

For Lowry, this breast reduction marks a step toward feeling more comfortable and confident in her own skin. Fans have shown overwhelming support for her decision, with many applauding her openness about the process and her candid reflections on the physical and emotional aspects of such a change.

This isn’t Lowry’s first experience with plastic surgery. Back in 2016, she underwent a Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL) and has been open about her relationship with cosmetic procedures over the years.

Lowry welcomed her first child, Isaac Elliot Rivera, in January 2010, with her ex-boyfriend Jo Rivera. Isaac’s arrival was a defining moment in Lowry’s life, as it was captured on "16 & Pregnant."  Her second child, Lincoln Marshall Marroquin, was born in November 2013, during her marriage to Javi Marroquin.

In August 2017, Lowry welcomed her third son, Lux Russell Lowry, her first child with Chris Lopez. Just a few years later, in July 2020, Lowry gave birth to her fourth child, Creed Romello Lowry, also with Chris Lopez.

In 2023, Lowry expanded her family with her current partner, Elijah Scott, welcoming their son Rio. The same year, she welcomed twins Verse and Valley, also with Elijah Scott.

Being a mother of seven is no small feat, but Lowry balances her family responsibilities with an impressive career. She’s a successful podcast host on "Barely Famous," author, and entrepreneur. Through her podcasts and social media platforms, Lowry candidly discusses the realities of motherhood, mental health, and personal growth.

In fact, she recently hosted Gypsy Rose Blanchard, the 33-year-old ex con who was sentenced for her involvement in her mother's murder. The episode explored Gypsy's new book, where she shares her harrowing experiences of growing up under her mother’s oppressive control and enduring the effects of Munchausen by proxy abuse. Gypsy spoke candidly about her complex family dynamics, her time in prison, and the obstacles she’s faced since gaining her freedom, including battling addiction and learning to navigate relationships while rebuilding her life.

"I've been working on it for about three years, the portion that was the final pieces was editing and that came after I got released," Gypsy told Lowry on the episode. "It was challenging at times because I had to kind of ask for information from family members because like I know my side of things, but I don't know the full picture, so I had to talk to family I had to talk to friends to get a lot of information I didn't know about."

Gypsy not only opened up about her traumatic past but also revealed that she had been put under anesthesia "over 100 times." Fortunately, she shared that she hasn’t experienced any noticeable side effects or long-term consequences. "Going under anesthesia when I was a kid, I didn't ask questions," she explained to Lowry. "So like all these side effects and all of the dangers were told to my mom and not to me" since she was a minor.

In her memoir, which is available now, Gypsy discloses that her mother was aware of her addiction and drug abuse but chose not to intervene. Instead, her mother allowed it to continue because it helped keep Gypsy close and under her control.
