Supermodel Dayle Haddon Dies In Tragic Incident Two Days After Christmas

Dayle Haddon, the celebrated actress and former supermodel, has tragically passed away at the age of 76 from suspected carbon monoxide poisoning.

Known for her groundbreaking career in both the fashion and entertainment industries, Haddon's legacy is one of elegance, talent, and timeless beauty. Dayle Haddon was a trailblazer in the beauty industry, appearing on the covers of iconic magazines such as Vogue, Elle, and Cosmopolitan, but one of her most memorable moments came in 1973, when she graced the cover of the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue.

The tragic incident occurred at the Bucks County, Pennsylvania home of Haddon's son-in-law, Hallmark actor Marc Blucas. Authorities from the Solebury Township Police Department responded to a 911 call around 6:30 a.m. on Friday, December 27, according to a report by CBS News.

Upon arrival, officers discovered a 76-year-old man unconscious on the first floor of the residence. He was immediately transported to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick, New Jersey, where he remains under medical care.

Meanwhile, a woman was found deceased in a second-floor bedroom. Bucks County Deputy Coroner Eliot Gross later confirmed to USA Today that the deceased was indeed Dayle Haddon. A toxicology report is currently underway to officially determine her cause of death.

Other family members, who were in the main house on the property, were not affected by the suspected carbon monoxide leak, according to ABC 6.

Authorities reported that two medics were taken to a nearby hospital for treatment after experiencing carbon monoxide exposure, while a police officer received on-site medical care. Preliminary findings suggest that the suspected leak may have originated from boiler fumes.

The investigation into the incident remains ongoing, police confirmed.

In addition to her modeling success, Haddon carved out a notable acting career. She starred in beloved films such as Disney’s "The World’s Greatest Athlete" and the sports comedy-drama "North Dallas Forty," where she shared the screen with Nick Nolte.

Beyond her work in front of the camera, she was also an accomplished author, penning two books: "Ageless Beauty" and "The 5 Principles of Ageless Living."

“The bright light that is Dayle has dimmed in this Earthly realm. Shining somewhere as radiantly as ever where it’s most needed, I have no doubt,” Ryan began in her lengthy Instagram caption. “She was a woman in her power, yet soft and attentive to all. Deeply creative and curious, gifted with beauty inside and out. Always kind and thoughtful."

"In conversation, she could go to the deepest of places and also soar the highest heights of spiritual understanding. She held so many up, saw their greatness sometimes hidden to them, and always built bridges with her own connections to help them ascend," she added. "She was everyone’s greatest champion. An inspiration to many.”
