Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez never got to walk down the aisle, but they had plans for their big day, which never came.
One of those plans was for singer Bruno Mars to perform on their wedding day, but the former couple's planner revealed that his performance fee would have been an issue.
Lopez and Rodriguez eventually separated, paving the way for her to return to her old flame, Ben Affleck, whom she recently filed for divorce from.
Jennifer Lopez Balked At Bruno Mars' Performance Fee
Lopez and Rodriguez's wedding planner, Marcy Blum, has spilled the tea about their wedding plans.
She appeared on the Thursday episode of "The Skinny Confidential Him & Her Podcast" and revealed details about Lopez's wish for Bruno Mars to perform on her wedding day.
Blum said per Page Six, "We were working with J.Lo and A-Rod before they broke up, and they were going through a list of musicians, and she goes, 'What about Bruno Mars?'"
The 71-year-old Blum recalled telling Lopez that she just worked with Mars on a wedding where he was paid $5 million for a performance that lasted 45 minutes to an hour.
Lopez reacted to Blum's revelation by saying, "Don't be ridiculous!"
Blum also said that she shared the story about Lopez's reaction to Mars' performance fee because she didn't sign a non-disclosure agreement while planning the "I'm Into You" singer and Rodriguez's doomed nuptials.
Jennifer Lopez And Alex Rodriguez's Relationship History
The singer and baseball player started dating in 2017 and got engaged in 2019. However, they canceled their wedding twice, and Lopez revealed that it was due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
In March 2021, reports confirmed that Lopez and Rodriguez had split. Their split came amid rumors that the former MLB star was FaceTiming with "Southern Charm" star Madison LeCroy. However, insiders shot down the rumors, claiming Rodriguez didn't know LeCroy.
Before their split, Lopez and Rodriguez put on a united front amid the rumors as they stepped out in public together, including attending the Super Bowl together.
The "On The Floor" singer also revealed that she and Rodriguez saw a therapist while quarantining, though those efforts couldn't save their relationship eventually.
Jennifer Lopez Reunites With Ben Affleck
Soon after splitting from Rodriguez, Lopez rekindled her romance with actor Ben Affleck, who she previously dated from 2002 to 2004.
The lovebirds first met on the set of "Gigli" in December 2001 and got engaged in November 2002. The press closely followed Lopez and Affleck's relationship, and they soon became known as "Bennifer."
The couple planned to marry in September 2003 but canceled due to excessive media attention. They ended their engagement in January 2004.
Lopez and Affleck reunited 20 years after their first meeting and became lovers again. Despite being parents to kids they shared with former partners, they announced their second engagement in April 2022 and got married in Las Vegas in July 2022, with a second wedding coming the following month.
Lopez Files For Divorce From Affleck
Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck's marriage lasted just two years. On August 20, 2024, she filed for divorce from him. In her divorce filing, the 55-year-old cited April 26, 2024, as their separation date.
The divorce filing did not state whether the former couple had a prenuptial agreement, though sources told TMZ that they didn't.
Meanwhile, Lopez waived spousal support, asking the court to deny Affleck such support.
Before Lopez finally filed for divorce, there were rumors of issues in her and Affleck's marriage and reports that they were going for couples therapy. However, neither of them addressed the speculation.
Lopez's Previous Marriages
Jennifer Lopez has endured multiple failed marriages. Before filing for divorce from Affleck, she had been in three other marriages that didn't work out.
Her first marriage was to Cuban waiter Ojani Noa, whom she married in February 1997. Their marriage lasted just 11 months and ended in January 1998.
After Noa, Lopez's next marriage was to dancer and choreographer Cris Judd, who she met in Spain when he directed her music video for "Love Don't Cost a Thing." Judd and Lopez married in September 2001 but split in June 2022.
Lopez's longest marriage was to superstar singer Marc Anthony. The couple enjoyed a whirlwind romance that began in September 2003 and tied the knot in June 20204.
In 2008, Lopez became a mom for the first time when she and Anthony welcomed twins Max and Emme; however, the couple split in 2011.
