Dorit Kemsley's Husband PK Pushes Back After She Claims He's A 'Full-Blown Alcoholic'

Dorit Kemsley's estranged husband, PK Kemsley, is pushing back after his wife branded him "a full-blown alcoholic" during a recent episode of "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills."

The couple is currently separated — having announced their split in May of 2024 — and the 48-year-old reality star noted on "RHOBH" that her separation from PK stemmed partly from his drinking.

Dorit and Paul "PK" Kemsley have two children — 8-year-old daughter, Phoenix, and son, Jagger, 10.

PK appeared on an episode of Bravo's "Hot Mic Podcast" that aired on Dec. 24, and he admitted that his drinking was an aspect of the couple's breakup, but that it was only "a component" of their separation.

"My alcoholism had an element of responsibility in, in relation to the breakdown of our marriage," he said. "But that was just a, a component, right? And the truth is, if you understand the disease, alcoholism is a symptom. It's not a cause, so the reality is, is you have to get to what the cause was underneath. So, it's just not as simple as to say he was 'a fully-blown alcoholic' that's why we're separated."

According to Page Six, he also questioned Dorit's "lack of understanding about sobriety" and accused his estranged wife of not working the program as he has. "I’m in full-blown recovery. That’s the term ‘full-blown’ that should be used.”

PK noted during the podcast that he's been sober for nearly one year, and he was "shocked" to hear his wife describe him as "a full-blown alcoholic."

"I was shocked, disappointed and upset at what Dorit had to say," he said. "I mean, first of all, you know, I'm really proud and public about my sobriety. And I'm 12 months [sober] in two weeks."

"I think sobriety enables me to breathe," he added. "My public sharing of my sobriety was about recovery. It was to inspire other people... it doesn't matter how dark it gets, you can recover. You can't do it on your own. You need people it's a very emotional, tough journey. The toughest one I've really taken."

While Dorit had a lot to say about her husband's alcoholism, she's had drunken moments herself, and one was caught on camera during filming for "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills."

During a dinner party at Kyle Richards' home back in 2017, a drunken Dorit became sloppy and loud after consuming way too many cocktails.

Camille Grammer was introducing her new boyfriend to the cast for the first time at the dinner when Dorit yelled across the table, "Camille! You’re a stupid c-nt!" PK was seated next to Dorit and quietly chastised her for her outburst.

As previously reported by The Blast, Kemsley called her co-star, Grammer, the c-word for the second time in a recent episode of the "RHOBH."

During the episode titled "High Horses and Low Blows," Kemsley told Grammer that she was “a total c-nt” after Grammer called Dorit out for not having any empathy when her Malibu house burned down.

Grammer replied, "You called me a f-cking c-nt," and was swiftly corrected by Kemsley, who said, "I called you a stupid c-nt, not a f-cking c-nt.”

PK was arrested for a DUI back in 2021. According to PEOPLE, the 57-year-old was arrested after he blew .081 during a Breathalyzer test.

Kemsley's lawyer, Alan Jackson, claimed that his client only had a glass of wine in a statement confirming the arrest.

"PK was stopped and cited on November 23 on suspicion of DUI," said Jackson. "While out with a business colleague, PK consumed a glass of wine with dinner. Following a traffic stop, it was determined that he may have been close to the legal limit. He regrets the fact he did not take alternate transportation home that evening. PK takes the allegations extremely seriously and fully cooperated with the authorities."
