Meri Brown is back in the dating scene after a failed attempt earlier this year. The "Sister Wives" star discussed her new approach to finding a romantic partner after her short-lived and "exclusive" romance.

Meri Brown and Kody Brown announced their separation in 2023 after almost three decades together as a married couple.

The TV personality revealed her new dating style after her brief romance in January ended due to incompatibility. We dated exclusively for a few months, and he just wasn't my person," Meri explained. She still remains optimistic about finding Mr. Right, and to that effect, Meri stated:

"Right now, I'm dating, not exclusively. But you date non-exclusively, and then you're like, 'Okay, I can focus on this person. Let's be exclusive. And then, see if it works into something.'"

She reiterated to PEOPLE that her previous relationship just did not work, adding, "And so, we broke that off, and now I'm dating non-exclusively."

On how she is expanding her dating base, Meri revealed that she searches most of her matches on dating sites. She has also "met a couple of people through people," which is the easiest and most trusted option for her compared to finding love virtually. 

"But when you live in a small town, and then this day and age, it seems to be the thing is the dating sites," Meri explained. The reality star, who relocated from Flagstaff to Utah for a new life after separating from Kody, noted that she uses dating as an opportunity to focus on herself.

"I'm learning about myself. I'm learning about other people," the TLC star noted, adding, "I am learning to trust myself and be like, 'Hmm, I'm getting a funny vibe. This person's just not for me."

"Even if it's just not a funny vibe, nothing's wrong with a person. It's just not for me." Meri concluded.

Meri Diverted Her Energy Into Building A New Motivational Brand

As reported by The Blast, the reality star has focused on attaining new levels of growth since her split from Kody in January last year. Meri disclosed that she has been focusing on building her motivational brand, Worthy Up, which she describes as a "glow up for the insides." The reality star shared:

"I am building a community of people who just want to remember their worth. I think that it's super important to remember who we are and what we're doing and that we're worthy of whatever it is that we want or what we want to do."

Amid her exploits, Meri also allows for self-growth and exciting adventures, including finding love. She is "perhaps" open to dating again, but not without setting clear standards for her potential partners.

"He's very confident in supporting me and what I'm doing and matches my energy. He can't be intimidated or bothered by what I do or who I am," she explained. 

The Author Credited Her Friends For Her Rapid Transformation And Healing 

Meri previously discussed her journey to self-discovery, crediting her dog with kickstarting her transformation. I got to take her out a couple of times a day and walk her, so that definitely helped," she revealed.

Her dog's efforts complemented her mental resolve to seek more fun, freedom, and ambition. "Things are really good. I'm just doing all the things, just having fun, building businesses, and taking adventures, and my dog is a good road tripper," she revealed.

The reality star also detailed the inner work that helped her turn her life around after a difficult period. In her words, her turnaround was not just "one particular moment, it was just kind of a process for me."

Meri added that she had a very dark spot in her life, and then she was trying to switch things up by "going to therapy, reading, journaling— all the things that you know are supposed to help promote growth."

As The Blast reported, the Inn owner announced her new relationship shortly after her 53rd birthday. In the now-deleted Instagram post, she shared multiple images from her time with Amos, including snaps of them outdoors with her dog, Zona.

Meri could not stop showing off her irresistible bright smile on full display, proof of her newfound happiness. The post's caption read:

"Birthday #53 is looking a bit different for me this year, and might I say, I like how it looks! Meet Amos, the good-looking guy I've been dating since October!"

This revelation came months after Meri ended her longtime marriage to Kody in January 2023. The couple's romance also coincided with the same month that Christine Brown said her vows to her new husband, David Woolley.

As for why she kept her relationship under wraps, the entrepreneur explained that she avoided sharing their progress in the early stages of their romance. However, she gleefully declared that they had grown so much that she now felt confident telling the world about Amos.
