Josh Allen’s teammates made sure he felt like an MVP this Christmas.

While the Buffalo Bills quarterback hasn’t officially claimed the NFL MVP title this season, he remains a top contender for the honor, facing stiff competition from Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson and Philadelphia Eagles running back Saquon Barkley.

This potential MVP season comes alongside another exciting milestone for Josh Allen, who proposed to his girlfriend, actress Hailee Steinfeld, in November.

The Buffalo Bills offensive line went all out this holiday season, surprising their 28-year-old quarterback, Allen, with a custom diamond chain necklace featuring the letters "MVP" and his jersey number, 17, prominently displayed.

Adding a personal touch, the back of the chain, shaped like an NFL jersey, is engraved with the names of Allen's offensive teammates.

Dion Dawkins, one of Allen’s teammates, captured the heartfelt moment on video and shared it on his Instagram Stories on December 25, writing, "Merry Christmas to our MVP." On the back, it lists the names of the Buffalo offensive lineman.

Upon receiving the sparkling gift, Allen couldn’t hide his excitement, exclaiming, "That's so sick."

Josh Allen Is Fighting For The MVP Spot

Heading into Week 16, Buffalo Bills quarterback Allen was the overwhelming favorite to win NFL MVP, with odds at -900 on DraftKings, while Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson trailed behind at +550.

Following Week 16, Allen's odds shifted to -500, while Jackson closed the gap to +370. However, after Lamar’s standout performance against the Houston Texans on Christmas Day, the race tightened even further, with Allen now at +240 and Jackson emerging as the slight favorite at +180.

Looking ahead, it’s unlikely either player will have another high-profile matchup to boost their MVP case in the final two weeks of the season. The Bills are set to face the Jets and Patriots, and their Week 18 trip to New England doesn’t seem poised for a prime-time spotlight.

Meanwhile, the Ravens' matchup against the Browns could slide into the 4:25 p.m. ET slot next Sunday, running parallel to the Bengals-Steelers game, with the AFC North title likely hanging in the balance.

Even if Jackson delivers another standout performance against the Browns in the late-afternoon window next weekend, it might only serve to further tighten the MVP odds. However, as previously explained, this shouldn’t carry much weight in the grand scheme of things.

The odds are simply a reflection of where the betting money is flowing. Sports bettors are essentially making educated guesses about who will take home the MVP award. The final odds posted by sportsbooks are designed to balance the betting action and attract more wagers—they have no influence on the actual voting process or the outcome of the award itself.

The Buffalo Bills, AFC East champions and the only team to defeat the Chiefs this season, are a force to be reckoned with. Their Super Bowl odds have significantly improved since the beginning of this year's NFL season.

In the preseason, the Bills had +1600 odds to win the Super Bowl. Those odds have since improved to +550, which is the ninth-smallest change among all NFL teams. Based on their most recent odds (+550), the Bills have a 15.4% chance of winning the Super Bowl.
