'Baby Driver' Actor Hudson Meek Dies Four Days Before Christmas At Age 16

While millions celebrated Christmas worldwide, the Meek family was left grieving the loss of their shining star, Hudson Joseph Meek.
The young actor left the world too soon on December 21, at the tender age of 16, following a tragic accident. His family and talent agency confirmed the heartbreaking news on social media, reflecting on his life and career.
Hudson Meek's Family Asks For Prayers Following His Death
The late actor's loved ones addressed his death in a joint statement on Facebook, noting they were heartbroken to announce that he had gone back to Jesus. "His 16 years on this earth were far too short, but he accomplished so much and significantly impacted everyone he met," the message read.
"Specific details regarding a Celebration of Hudson's Life to be held on December 28, as well as how to contribute to a scholarship in Hudson's memory at Vestavia Hills High School in lieu of flowers, will follow," the statement continued.
The "Baby Driver" star's family concluded their post by asking fans to pray for their family and friends as they processed "this sudden and tragic loss." The message was uploaded by the actor's mom, Lani Wells Meek, who received an outpour of love and support.

During his career, Hudson worked with J Pervis Talent, an agency that honored his life and talents in an emotional Instagram post. They shared a picture of the late teenager, noting they had lost a "cherished member" of their family.
"Hudson was an extraordinary young talent whose dedication, passion, and promise shone brightly within our industry. Over the past 10 years, he contributed so much to the spirit of our agency, and his loss leaves a void that will be deeply felt by all of us," the agency raved.
They claimed Hudson was "more than just a talent" but "a source of inspiration." The tribute continued, noting the actor would be dearly missed after touching numerous lives "with his enthusiasm, kindness, smile, and innate ability to light up a room and never meet a stranger."

"Our thoughts and prayers are with them during this heartbreaking time with deepest sympathy," the agency concluded. Hudson rose to fame playing the younger version of Ansel Elgort's character in the "Baby Driver."
He also starred in an episode of the "MacGyver" series and shows like "Legacies," "Found," and "Genius."

Hudson was born on August 5, 2008, in Alabama and reportedly lived in Vestavia Hills, located near Birmingham. He has a brother named Tucker, a fellow actor he starred alongside in the 2014 Lifetime movie "The Santa Con."
The young actor's vibrant life came crashing down following a tragic accident in the 1900 block of Canyon Road. Reports noted he fell out of a moving car and subsequently died from his injuries after being rushed to UAB Hospital.
The Jefferson County Coroner's Office confirmed the late actor sustained blunt force injuries when he fell on the road. As for how the incident happened, the Vestavia Hills police do not have answers yet but have begun investigating the case, per HollywoodLife.
