While Taylor Swift was notably absent from the Kansas City Chiefs' Christmas Day matchup against the Pittsburgh Steelers - a decision that wasn’t exactly surprising given it was an away game for the team - she still managed to show support for Travis Kelce following his historic performance.

The Chiefs tight end racked up eight receptions for 84 yards and scored one touchdown, playing a crucial role in the Chiefs' 29-10 victory over the Steelers. With his 77th career receiving touchdown, Kelce officially surpassed Tony Gonzalez (76) to claim the record for the most receiving touchdowns in Kansas City Chiefs history.

And even though Taylor Swift wasn't in attendance, she still publicly supported her boyfriend following the Christmas Day game.

After his eye-catching performance, the social media accounts of the Kansas City Chiefs, the NFL, and Travis Kelce's "New Heights" podcast all highlighted Kelce's record-breaking touchdown—and Taylor Swift made sure to show her support by liking every one of their posts.

Kelce also etched his name into the NFL record books by achieving the longest streak of seasons with at least 90 receptions, according to OptaStats. Entering Wednesday's game with 89 catches, the 35-year-old standout finished with 97 receptions for the season. This marks his seventh consecutive season reaching that milestone, further solidifying his legacy as one of the league's most consistent performers.

Fans wasted no time praising Taylor Swift for her unwavering support of Travis Kelce, with many applauding her dedication as a partner.

"Taylor and Travis are gems," one X user, the social media platform formerly known as Twitter, wrote.

Swifties also joined the celebration, flooding the comments with congratulations for Kelce on his impressive milestone achievement.

Following his significant milestone with his 1,000th career reception and setting a new all-time Chiefs record with his 77th touchdown catch, surpassing Hall of Famer Tony Gonzalez, Kelce opened up about what this means to him.

"It's everything to me. Tony has been a mentor to me. He's been right there for me any questions I've ever had," Kelce said after the game. "I feel like I'm still trying to fill that guy's shoes. He's such an unbelievable competitor, and I got so much love for him, and it's just an honor to be in [those] conversations with him."

Gonzalez then spoke out about the new record, telling Kelce, "Congrats to my man @tkelce on becoming the all time @Chiefs leader in touchdowns! Keep blazing trails my friend! btw nice dunk."

Kelce saw his message and replied, "You know I had to show love to the greatest of all time!! you did mention you’d help me with the fine tho," he joked.

"lol! I got you!" Gonzalez replied.

The two were referring to the celebration that Kelce will more than likely get fined for. Following his record-setting touchdown in the fourth quarter, the Chiefs tight end made his way to the goalpost and proved he still had the hops at 35 to pull off an impressive dunk.

The couple is embracing the holiday spirit by gifting extravagant presents to Travis Kelce's Kansas City Chiefs teammate, Chris Jones, and his girlfriend, Sheawna Weathersby.

On December 25, Sheawna took to her Instagram Stories to share a glimpse of the lavish gifts they received from the duo.
