Last month James Corden famously hosted the reunion show with the full cast of Friends. It seems that Corden took advantage of the opportunity to film some segments of his show with the cast.
The segment starts with James riding in a large golf cart through the Warner Brother’s Studio lot. As he goes along different Friends cast members ask him for a ride until eventually the six friends and Corden are all riding in the golf cart together. This when the magic starts to happen!
The segment is certainly a strange one. Obviously, the part about James finding all of the show’s cast members by the side of the road is super staged. However, as they go along many of the conversations start to seem a lot more realistic. There’s even a point where Jen Aniston jumps up from her seat to hug Lisa Kudrow with her face looking like she was about to cry.
Even though there some stage production in the segment we still some very genuine moments of real emotion. Just like we saw in the actual reunion show.
At one point in the trip, Corden suggests that they turn on the radio. It’s around this time that Courtney Cox confesses that she’s always wanted to be on carpool karaoke. All of the Friend’s cast and Corden sing the show’s title song “I’ll Be There For You” acapella.
It’s certainly a moment that Friends fans are going to be gushing over for years to come! There’s no information on whether or not Corden will feature more bits from the Friends’ reunion on the upcoming episodes of his show!
Recently Matt Le Blanc talked about his time in the reunion show. The HBO special featured plenty of never-before-seen footage from behind the scenes of the original show. Which was then seasoned with commentary from the cast. Le Blanc seems to think there’s a lot of things that happened off-camera at the reunion that was better than what made it to the show.
He recently mentioned, “We’ve had a lot of laughs. Some of it made it on camera, but the funniest stuff that happened between us, that never made it to TV, those are the memories we keep talking about,”
There’s no doubting the fact that James Corden’s career is certainly seeing good days. That’s one of the main reasons why he was chosen to moderate the reunion in the first place. It’s also why he can get guests like Prince Harry on his show.
Recently though one of the segments on his show “Spill Your Guts” came under fire from internet activists. Who wanted him to can the segment because it was offensive to Asians because of the food featured on the show. Corden though seems keen to keep doing his thing!
