Kristin Cavallari was this week told her photo was “dumb” as she posed for a cute selfie with 8-year-old son Camden. The “Laguna Beach” alum, currently on vacation, posted a bikini-clad selfie as she enjoyed time with her eldest son, but with Camden’s face entirely blocked out as the blonde keeps her family life private, fans were quickly angered. On Tuesday, the “Very Cavallari” star updated with a chilled-out snap, even joking about why son Camden had asked her to post the photo. Check it out below.
Scroll for the photo. Kristin, fresh from opening up on co-parenting with ex Jay Cutler following her 2020 divorce from the former NFL player, posted with 2012-born Camden, who was not identifiable in the photo as his mom had blocked his entire face. A digital emoji finish accompanied the Uncommon James founder’s son with no shirt on as he was likely relaxing poolside and with Kristin.
“Cam specifically asked for this to be posted. He’s having a good hair day,” Kristin wrote.
Cavallari, who introduces herself as a “momma” before anything else on her Instagram bio, now sees some of her 4.1 million followers questioning the entire post. Most-liked, was a comment reading: “He wanted it post because he’s having a good hair day, but then you hide his face and all his hair … makes sense.”
“Well then why not show his face???” another added. Fans, who have been shading the star recently after her bikini-clad “tan lines” photo, didn’t just see hate, though. More below.
One fan, seemingly aware that jewelry founder Kristin chooses to keep her children out of the spotlight, replied: “She’s been very clear for YEARS that she does not want her kids in the spotlight or on any media platform.”
Also known for hiding her children’s faces on social media is Israeli DC actress Gal Gadot. Meanwhile, stars including MCU actress Angelina Jolie are not even on Instagram. Kristin was supported by a user stating: “Why do you care what concerns him?” See her bikini snap while the kids are napping below.
Kristin, also a mom to Jaxon, 7 and Saylor, 5 this week opened up on being a mother in the wake of her split from Cutler. “I only have my kids half the time now. I have them every other week,” she told Grazia Gazette. “I have just decided that the week I have my kids, I’m mom. I’m not doing anything else.”
“I have a week off where I can go to dinner every night with my friends if I want to,” she added, continuing with mentions of “late” office hours. “But when I have my kids, I’m not doing anything else.”
