Heather Dubrow was recently confirmed to be returning to the cast of “The Real Housewives of Orange County” for season 16. But, according to the mother of four, she didn’t give producers an immediate “yes” when she was approached.
During the June 16 episode of Dubrow’s PodcastOne show, “Heather Dubrow’s World,” she told listeners that she actually laughed off Bravo’s producers when they first contacted her about a full-time position on the reality series’ upcoming episodes.

“Well, what was funny was — so, production called me, like, I don’t know, December or something like that, and I laughed,” she told Cohen, as reported by Page Six on June 16. “My first reaction was like, I kind of laughed. And then I thought about it.”
As fans of “The Real Housewives of Orange County” will recall, Dubrow was brought to the show in 2012 for seven seven and remained on the show until 2016, when she left after production on season 11.

Although Dubrow didn’t say if anyone’s exit in particular influence her decision, she did tell Cohen that she realized season 16 may be the perfect opportunity for a comeback.
“When I sort of came to the realization that, ‘Wait a minute. This might be like that space-time continuum moment where it’s, like, a good idea to go back,’ we sat down and had a family meeting about it. We had a serious talk about it,” she explained.
Heather Dubrow’s Family Was Supportive Of Her Decision
Although Dubrow attempted to portray the idea in a negative light as she discussed her potential “Real Housewives of Orange County” return, her 17-year-old twins, Nicholas and Max, as well as her two daughters, Katarina, 14, and Collette, 9, were immediately supportive.
“I was negative,” Dubrow admitted. “I was like, ‘Guys, you’re on social media now. You do this. You do that. People will comment,’ and they were cool.”
