On Tuesday, a big Megan fan reached out to her via Twitter, to tell her how her friend passed away, who was also a big fan. She explained how the two used to always listen to Megan‘s songs together.
“Meg we lost a hottie our best friend passed away unexpectedly. They absolutely loved you, listening to ur songs was something we did every time we were together. We’re helping their family w funeral costs. We started a gofundme & are halfway there. @theestallion.”
Megan Donates Over $8,000 For Funeral
Megan ended up asking the young lady how much is needed for the funeral. She ended up revealing that $8,000 was needed, and Megan helped out with no problem. She actually posted a screenshot showing that she pitched in an amount of $8,155. Her name on GoFundMe was listed as Megan Pete. Megan also inserted a pair of blue heart emojis to show that the donation was finalized. Her fans soon adored how much of a generous move this was on her part, for helping a family in hard times.

Megan Also Helped Launch Scholarship With Roc Nation
A week ago, it was also revealed that Megan is launching a full-ride scholarship with Roc Nation, at Long Island University in New York. There, the record label has their Roc Nation’s School of Music, Sports and Entertainment. This label was originally founded by Jay Z, who ended up bringing Megan on for a management deal. In addition to this scholarship, Megan will be a guest lecturer for the school’s “Industry Expert Speaker Series.” Topics in this series have yet to be revealed as of now,
Megan Donated $100,000 To Breonna Taylor Foundation With Fashion Nova This Spring
Megan has had plenty of huge charitable works in 2020. One of them is partnering with Fashion Nova to donate $100,000 to the Breonna Taylor Foundation. This was done in March, on the one-year anniversary that Breonna Taylor was shot and killed by the Louisville Police Department.
