What do you get when you put Harry Styles and an owl together in a room?
You get, “Harry Styles the Owl Whisperer!” Kind of has a nice ring to it, don’t you think?
But in all seriousness, Styles may have a new career on the horizon that involves the nocturnal birds, just ask actress Salma Hayek.
During a June 15 appearance on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show,” Hayek detailed a rather bizarre moment she shared with Styles and her owl, Kering.
Also, if you’re still thinking to yourself, “Salma Hayek has a pet owl?” you’re not alone, and yes, she does indeed own an owl.
Salma revealed that she sleeps with the owl when her husband is out of town, and that if her foot comes out from under the covers, Kering will swoop down and try to eat her toes because they look like a tasty mouse treat.
Talk about horrifying!
In addition to the owl, Hayek owns dogs, horses, alpacas, a cat, bunnies, chickens, and more.
She’s basically running a mini-zoo at her home.
DeGeneres asked, “When people come over and there’s an owl, do people know that? Do they already know you have an owl or do you surprise them sometimes?”
Having absolutely no shame in her animal game, Hayek revealed that sometimes she even forgets she owns a pet owl and because the owl has free reign of the house, the bird will land on guests and scare them senseless.
“I find it hilarious. I love doing it. But I don’t do it on purpose though. But when it happens, I do enjoy it,” Hayek told DeGeneres.
So, where does Styles come into play with all of this chaos?!?
Hayek explained, “One time there was a very important celebrity, I will not say his name (Styles), and he was really excited and was hoping that the owl would go on his head, because it was on me. He was like, ‘Oh, I need an owl in my life. How do you do that?’ And the minute he least expected it, she came on his head and did the thing and this came out.”
The ‘thing’ she’s referring to is regurgitated ball of rat hair.
Styles got old rat hair thrown up on him!
However, the “Watermelon Sugar” singer was a trooper according to Hayek, “He was OK. He was kind of cool. He didn’t scream.”
I wonder if the owl will be the inspiration for a future song?
