Carrie Underwood has been picking her home-grown onions in the rain and stunning fans with the enviable result. The 38-year-old country superstar and CALIA by Carrie founder has been massively featuring her fruits and vegetables garden for her 10.2 million Instagram followers recently, with a post ahead of the week seeing the “Drinking Alone” hit-maker showcase her sugar snap peas, onions, and zucchini, plus more. Carrie, who this month made a crustless veggie quiche from her refrigerator leftovers, is now showing something else. Check it out below.
Scroll for the photo, one that comes as Underwood continues to expand her empire. The star, worth a reported $200 million, has her “Find Your Path” diet and exercise book alongside her 2020-launched Fit52 app, this as she continues to run her 2015-founded CALIA label amid a superstar music career.
Carrie shared stories from the rain, where she was out in a dark and waterproof jacket. The blonde joked: “Pass the peas” as she showed off her own, but she admitted the tomatoes weren’t ripe yet.
The “American Idol” OG, showing rows of the veggies she and husband Mike Fisher care for on a daily basis, then reappeared indoors for a gorgeous selfie and while clutching a bunch of fresh onions. “Even pulled some yummy onions for tonight’s dinner!” she wrote while in a simple top and showing off her famous smile.
The dinner menu was never revealed, but fans are aware that “wannabe vegan” Carrie eats mega-healthy, from Ezekiel bread and tofu scrambles to vegan chicken stir-fries.
Carrie, who last year admitted to a brief starvation period of just 800 calories per day following her 2005 “American Idol” win, has been opening up on keeping lifestyle goals reasonable – her Fit52 app, based on a deck of 52 cards, is all about not having every single workout be perfect.
“They start working out like crazy six or seven days a week, drastically cutting their calories, or going on some crazy fad diet that’s not sustainable,” she revealed this year of people who try too hard. See the poolside workout below.
Launched in March 2020, Fit52 is fast growing, now available both on Android and Apple devices.
“That’s the thing about the app: It’s ever-changing and ever-growing, and we’re always creating new content, so it should always stay fresh and fun — you can even get the random professional athlete jumping by,” the star added. The “pro” athlete mention is, of course, a nod to former NHL player husband Mike Fisher jumping in to join Carrie for app workouts.
