Back in April, Megan Thee Stallion announced that she would go on a music hiatus, as she uploaded a graphic of what appeared to be her charging in a machine in water. It was unclear when this hiatus would end, but her team would continue to upload posts on her social media feeds on her behalf. Last weekend, Megan ended the hiatus by saying new music would be out this week and now, just announced another scholarship for college students.
Megan Partners With Roc Nation For Scholarship In New York
Megan is getting together with Roc Nation to launch a full-ride scholarship at Long Island University in New York. This will be used for Roc Nation’s School of Music, Sports and Entertainment. These classes will launch this fall and this scholarship will be going to one fan.

Megan Launched ‘Don’t Stop’ Scholarship Last Fall As well
Megan helping students isn’t something new at all Last fall, she put out her “Don’t Stop” single featuring Young Thug, and to celebrate launched a scholarship in honor of the song. Then, the Houston rapper gave away two 10,000 scholarships to women of color, who are pursuing degrees in any field, in any part of the world. Megan ended up officially giving these out in mid-November.
“Women remain underrepresented and undervalued in society and female students of color are at a larger disadvantage when it comes to access to financial resources,” said a statement at the time. As a Health Care Administration major studying at Texas Southern University herself, Megan is incredibly passionate about the transformative power of education and remains a strong advocate for women pursuing a college degree.”
Megan Is Still In School As Well
Megan is currently one of the biggest artists in the world. At the same time, she is also still a student at Texas Southern University. She continues to pursue Healthcare Administration all while handling her duties as an artist. Megan has been a student there since before she blew up with her “Big Ole Freak” single back in February of 2019. That record originally appeared on her “Tina Snow” mixtape, which was released in June 2018.
Megan’s ‘Thot S*it’ Single Arrives On June 11
Megan is getting ready to build a lot of momentum again as this Friday, her “Thot S*it” single will be out. This is the first song since her hiatus ended as well. The release of Thot S*it also comes as Megan won three out of the four awards that she was nominated for at the 2021 GRAMMYs in March. Those were for Best New Artist, Best Rap Song, and Best Rap Performance. Those were for her “Savage” remix single, featuring Beyoncé.
