Finally, the weather is starting to heat up and believe us, people are so ready for it. Hot girl summer, hot boy summer whatever you want to call it, it’s the first summer that human beings have been allowed out to play together (officially) since the COVID-19 pandemic kind of shut the world down. Needless to say, there are a few trends that the people will be living for this summer and some of your favorite celebrities are already rocking them. scroll through to see the trends of summer and how celebrities are making them a part of their wardrobe.
The world is opening back up and people are starting to wear makeup again. This time around, after such a long time of time alone or in a small bubble, people are more eager to step out with a bolder look. Blush can definitely have that effect. The makeup trend can bring a brightness to your look which some people may need after staying inside and lacking regular sunlight. Bella Hadid always has a bold splash of blush on her prominent cheekbones when she hits the runway.
Maybe don’t wear too many bright colors if you plan on jumping in on the blush trend. However, if you are not a huge makeup fan, a pop of color in your wardrobe can be a way to stay on trend as well. We have all seen some of the most popular celebrities already posting up in bright-colored suits to events like Beyonce’s bold pink suit jacket. Despite the fact that June is Pride Month, and everyone should be wearing the colors they feel confident in, wearing a bright color also represents how happy we are to have the world opening back up again. Slowly but surely.
Not every face shape can pull off a bang (or so we’ve been told over the years) but there are a few different ways to wear a bang. This summer, it is the curtain bang. Those beautiful wispy bangs flow down the side of your face and slyly cover your eyes. You can straighten them like Jennifer Lopez has or you can let them go natural and lay where they fall. This bang can work for all face types, the retro look is loose layers that accentuate the cheekbone and does wonders for a long face.
Ankles will rejoice this summer as you are out and about filling your COVID-free summer with all sorts of activities, a flatform shoe will be your savior. It’s not quite a platform so trying to balance in a heel won’t be a problem and they have a little bit of cushion to them so you can wear them for a few hours without feeling like you want to kick your shoes off. Plus, you can obtain a little boost in height. They can be dressy or just for running around ultimately, no matter your style there is a flatform shoe for you. Brands like Converse, Steve Madden, and Sam Edelman all have a version of this shoe.
Lastly, nothing screams summer quite like a bathing suit but make it crochet. You may have seen a few celebrities showing off their figures in these trendy bathing suits. Back in May Kylie Jenner posted some sexy snaps of herself in a red checkered pattern crochet bikini, eager for summer. Then recently again she showed off a beige crochet bikini with hints of gold. Family friend Hailey Bieber sported one as well and of course Lizzo because you can’t keep her away from a good trend. The heat can be fierce in a crochet bikini, but something tells us that a lot of trendsetters are willing to stand the heat.
