Mark Wahlberg‘s sister Tracey made the actor’s 50th birthday extra special!
The legendary actor shared a heartfelt thank you to his sister for organizing a celebration that would make their late mother proud on Saturday, June 5. Alma Wahlberg passed away in April following her struggle with dementia, and Mark’s 50th marks the first birthday celebration since her death. The two-time Academy Award nominee proudly showed off the decorations put up by Tracey and thanked her on social media.
“Nothing more important than family,” the “Infinite” actor wrote. “My big sister Tracey made sure that my birthday was special the way my mom always did! I love you so much❤️.”
Earlier in the day, Wahlberg shared a throwback picture that featured a much younger version of himself with his mom. “Miss you🙏💔🙏,” he wrote alongside the snap. Young Mark appeared to have a backstage pass for New Kids On The Block.
As we previously mentioned, Alma passed away in April. “My angel. Rest in peace,” Mark wrote on social media shortly after her death. The following day, he shared a picture of his mom posing with his wife and kids. “Miss you grandma❤️.”
Alma had 9-children, including Donnie Wahlberg, so the family was obviously important to her. It’s nice to see that Mark’s sister went the extra mile to honor him and their late mother.
