Lindsey Buckingham can now enjoy the rest of the holidays without looking over his shoulders!
The Fleetwood Mac band member recorded an impressive victory in court that will safeguard him from the reach of his unrepentant stalker.
Lindsey Buckingham accused his stalker, identified as Michelle, of keeping tabs on him in an unsafe manner since 2021 while simultaneously harassing his family.
Lindsey Buckingham's Restraining Order Against Michelle Will Expire In 5 Years
The producer was granted the permanent restraining order on Friday, December 20, when he appeared before an LA judge. Lindsey reportedly stood in the dock to testify as part of his plea for protection against his stalker.
His new protection order follows a temporary restraining order the court previously granted him. At the hearing, the music legend showed the judge the picture Michelle left at his house when she showed up.
He also played an "unmarked audio clip" as evidence to bolster his plea. The presiding judge concluded that Lindsey had presented enough evidence to acquire a permanent order.
Michelle, who was notably absent from the hearing despite being served with notice, was ordered by the judge to stay 100 yards away from Lindsey, his wife, Kristen Buckingham, and his son, William Buckingham.
Per In Touch, Michelle was also instructed not to contact, harass, or threaten Lindsey in any manner. The permanent restraining order will expire in December 2029.

The new order came in after Lindsey filed a desperate plea for a restraining order and protection from the woman. In a report by The Blast, Lindsey urged the court to keep Michelle 100 yards away from him, his home, or any place he may be.
He also wished that the order covered his wife and child. The singer noted that Michelle had left scary voice messages on William's phone with threats to eliminate him and his family. "She is a stalker who has been harassing me and my family," he noted in the petition, adding:
"I am very fearful that Michelle … without restraining, will continue this conduct which continues to make me and my family fear for our safety and peace."

The actions of the stalker had Lindsey feeling helpless, especially after she called 911, raising a false alarm on November 3. Michelle allegedly explained to emergency services that Lindsey's son was about to harm himself.
Lindsey recalled the police visiting his home, stating that Michelle told them that a gun had been fired in his home, which caused them to run over to the mansion.
Upon their arrival, the record producer was immediately handcuffed as the police searched for evidence but eventually let the singer go after realizing the caller's report was untrue.
An officer with the Los Angeles Police Department promptly filed a declaration that she had been assigned to investigate the harassment of the singer and his family.

The detective on the case then confirmed that LAPD had met with Michelle since September 18 "when the suspect placed a paper taped to Lindsey and Kristen Buckingham's residence with photographs of herself."
They explained that the stalker was convinced Lindsey was her father, which explains why she has been stalking. On September 19, a security guard informed the police that Michelle's car was parked outside their home.
Michelle was detained when the police arrived at the scene and questioned her. It was then she told the police she was Lindsey's daughter. The police, however, released her after strongly warning her to leave the property, vacate the premises, and never return.

Being a direct recipient of Michelle's dangerous activities, Kristen also updated the cops in September about her "history of harassment." She explained to the police that her son had been receiving "concerning" voice messages on his cell phone for a year.
The detective on the case explained that she spoke to Michelle via the phone, where she confessed to calling 911 and reporting the false shooting incident.
The detective informed Michelle of possible charges if she refused to stop harassing the singer's family. She also claimed the stalker may be "mentally unstable and dangerous" and advised the court to grant Lindsey's restraining order request promptly.
