Per “Today” Clarkson burst out in tears after a singer named Corey Ward, brilliantly performed his version of her song titled “Already Gone.”
“How dare you come and kill my song?” Clarkson said amid tears.
She also noted that she loved how he fine-tuned the song to make it sound different. Another judge, Snoop Dogg, complimented Ward for his incredible performance.
‘The Voice’ Finale Was Nerve Wrecking
In late 2020, Clarkson opened up on her show, “The Kelly Clarkson Show,” about her decision to file for a divorce from Brandon Blackstock.
The pair would later be involved in a serious clash during the divorce which turned the singer a nerve wreck.
A few days into the dispute, “The Voice” finale came knocking, and the singer listened to one of the contestants, DeSz singing “Holy Ground.”
“I know it’s for the finale and everything, but everybody needs that message right now. You’re hands down the greatest vocalist I have ever worked with on this show. You’re crazy talented,” Clarkson said in reaction to the contestant’s performance.
