Luann de Lesseps may have gone to war with Eboni K. Williams over racial issues during Tuesday night’s episode of “The Real Housewives of New York City,” but days prior, she applauded her cast mate for what she’s brought to the show during an interview on “The Morning Show.”
“We are in New York City. New York City is the most diverse city and finally, we have somebody of diversity,” de Lesseps said when asked about the newest cast member of the show.

De Lesseps went on to gush over Williams, despite their issues on last night’s show, saying that she’s much more than brains and beauty.
“She’s not only smart and beautiful, but she makes a good addition to the cast. So it’s really been nice to have her on the new season,” de Lesseps said.
Although de Lesseps had plenty of good things to say about Williams, she eventually admitted that when it came to their early moments on the show together, they didn’t exactly hit it off.
Luann de Lesseps Says There’s Always Drama With Newbies
“It starts off where she comes into the show and we’re not quite sure how she’s going to fit in,” de Lesseps began of their initial tension.
“And there’s always some drama when you’re dealing with big personalities like that, especially women who are successful and have their own power,” she continued.

“So she kind of comes in and there is a getting to know you phase and we run into a couple of issues and then we kind of get over it and have a meeting of the minds,” de Lesseps said of the evolution of her relationship with Williams.
“You’re going to watch that play out, as well as all the OGs from the Housewives, Sonja and Ramona and our latest newbie, Leah, so it’s a really good combination of women and it just works,” she added.
‘RHONY’ Season 13 Is A ‘Great Season’
While de Lesseps was involved in some intense drama during season 13, she said that ultimately, “it’s a great season.”
