Selena Gomez is going international and expanding her business!
The musician, actress & entrepreneur is taking her beauty brand, ‘Rare Beauty,’ overseas.
On Tuesday, June 1st, Selena made the announcement on the Rare Beauty Instagram page. Fans will be able to purchase her ‘Rare Beauty’ line & products at Sephora locations across the world beginning on July 1st.
Let the one-month countdown begin!
Selena looked stunning while making the announcement in a simple black top with her blonde locks perfectly hanging around her face.
The big announcement comes after an outpouring of comments, tweets & requests were made of Selena to expand ‘Rare Beauty’ into international markets.
Selena said of the major business move, “This has been an absolute dream of mine. I cannot wait for you to try the collection, and see all of the looks you create with my products.”
Rare beauty launched in the U.S., Canada and Mexico in August 2020. According to PR Newswire, “Rare Beauty uses unique formulas to create breathable and airy makeup that go on easy for adjustable coverage and a fresh finish, without hiding what makes people unique.”
‘Rare Beauty’ took over two years to conceptualize and bring to life. Selena wanted to create a beauty brand that goes beyond physical products.
The goal of her beauty line is to help people feel good about themselves, and celebrate what makes them unique.
Selena’s love for ‘Rare Beauty’ runs deep.
She said of her business, “I’m so excited to release beauty products that not only feel great, but also celebrate what makes each of us rare. These products aren’t about being someone else, it’s about being who you are, whether that’s rocking a full face of bold makeup or barely any makeup at all. Makeup is something to enjoy, it’s not something you need. I want every person to feel beautiful exactly as they are.”
One percent of all ‘Rare Beauty’ sales, as well as funds from partners, will be dedicated to the Rare Impact Fund that aims to increase access to mental health resources.
The Rare Impact Fund recently announced an ambitious goal to raise $100 million over the next 10 years to help address the gaps in mental health services for underserved communities, which will make it one of the largest known funds in support of mental health from a corporate entity.
In honor of pride month, ‘Rare Beauty’ has partnered with The Trevor Project.
‘Rare Beauty’ will help The Trevor Project to invest in growing the organization to save more young LGBTQ lives.
In an Instagram post they wrote, “In honor of Pride Month, we’re spotlighting the groundbreaking work our grantee @trevorproject has done to celebrate, uplift and support LGBTQ youth. Swipe ➡️ to learn more about the incredible work they’re doing in the community. 🙌”
