Popstar JoJo Siwa is pushing to have a scene of her kissing a man cut from her upcoming movie — after the Nickelodeon star publically came out as part of the LGBTQ community.
The 18-year-old singer and actress sat down with Entertainment Weekly at a part of the new Pride digital cover, where she discussing coming out in January.
As we reported, Siwa is currently dating her girlfriend Kylie Prew and says she doesn’t want to kiss any other person, even in a movie-type setting. So, she is pushing to have the scene (already finished) removed from the film.

“I’m madly in love and I do not want to kiss another human. Especially because it’s a man,” JoJo told EW.
During the interview, she voiced her concern that fans likely wouldn’t separate her persona from her character on-screen. “That’s what they look at me as, not some character, not some fictional thing. And so it’s going to be a little weird,” she said.
JoJo is set to star in the movie, ‘Bounce,’ which is produced by Will Smith’s Westbrook Studios, and the Christmas movie is adapted from Megan Shull’s young adult novel.

As for the possibility of actually getting the scene pulled from the movie, JoJo says, “I’m trying to get it pulled so bad. It’ll happen. It’ll get pulled.”
“I’m not about it,” she added about the kissing scene.
The pop star announced she was dating her best friend, earlier this year, saying “After being my best friend for over a year, January 8th, 2021 I got to start calling this exceptional human my Girlfriend… and Since then I’ve been the happiest I have ever been! She seriously is the most loving, supportive, happiest, protective, and just the most beautiful perfect person in the world. And I get to call her mine! Happy one month to my girl! I love you more and more every day!❤️”
The studio has yet to respond publically to the request.
