Ronnie Ortiz-Magro is professing his love for his girlfriend, Saffire Matos, on social media.
The “Jersey Shore” star shared a picture of himself embracing Saffire on Monday, May 31. The loving snaps come after a source close to the troubled reality star said he is not going to a rehab facility after his recent domestic violence arrest. Ronnie was arrested on “suspicion of intimate partner violence” on April 22 for an incident involving Saffire, but all the charges were dropped. However, his involvement in the incident violated his probation from a previous arrest, and jail time is a real possibility.
The reality star disabled comments but captioned the photo with emojis. “❤️?? #BearTings,” he wrote. Ronnie also posted a pic via his IG story and included a “Wifey for Lifey” sticker.
Ronnie’s lawyers told Hollywood Life he is seeking help via a statement after the recent charges were dropped. “He is currently seeking medical treatment for psychological issues that he has ignored for a long time,” Ortiz-Magro’s lawyers, Scott E. Leemon and Leonard Levine said on May 13.
A source recently told The Sun that “he is trying to say he can get better with mental help without going to a facility,” but said he is getting help.
The reality star released a statement that revealed he is stepping back from the popular MTV show to focus on his mental health.
“After talking to the team at MTV, we have mutually agreed that I will step away from the show while I seek medical treatment for mental health issues that I’ve ignored for too long. My number one goal now is facing my struggles head on. This process will be difficult, but my #1 priority is to get healthy and be the best man and the best father I can for my daughter.”
Despite distancing himself from the show, he still sent love to his co-star, Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino and his wife Lauren shortly after the birth of their first child. “Congratulations brother send my love to Laurenzz!!! So happy he looks like Laurenz and not you ??? miss you bro!!!” he joked on May 27.
