Richards’ First Encounter With Vanderpump
During an interview with Teddi Mellencamp, Richards spoke about her countless meetings with Vanderpump after she quit the show, and they weren’t friendly encounters.
According to the reality star, she once met Vanderpump at a restaurant, and an awkward non-verbal reaction ensued.
Richards revealed that Vanderpump was seated close to her in the restaurant, however, the restauranteur changes her table so that she would not have to be close to Richards.
Richards further disclosed that she always tries to me nice to her co-star when they meet, but Vanderpump never makes an attempt to be nice.
The Second Encounter
Richards also recounted the time she refused to say hello to Vanderpump, after she and an “RHOBH” exec bumped into the restauranteur at another restaurant.
Vanderpump also greeted the executive and ignored Richards’ presence. However, a few minutes later, she sent over a bill worth $132 to Richards’ table, jokingly asking the executive to take care of it.
“It was not a joke, it was an ‘F you,” Richards explained to the interviewer.
Although the producer refused to pay for the bill, it turned out that Vanderpump left the restaurant about 10 minutes before the bill was sent and left her card on the table to soothe the bill.
Mellencamp chipped in saying that Vanderpump was sort of rude for that approach.
Why Did Lisa Vanderpump Leave ‘RHOBH?’
During the interview, Richards also spoke up about how Vanderpump shouldn’t have left “RHOBH” because she could no longer handle everything that happened.
Apparently, Vanderpump was accused of selling the PuppyGate story to the tabloids.
After facing several backlashes especially online, she left at the end of season 9. According to Richards, Vanderpump’s reason for leaving wasn’t good enough.
Fans have seen cases of reality stars leaving their shows after an altercation or accusation. Although some of them find a way to come back, it doesn’t seem like Vanderpump is one of those people. At least not now.
Life After ‘RHOBH’
Vanderpump is a successful restaurateur, who now owns restaurants in different states.
After leaving the show, she reportedly suffered from depression, probably as a result of the reason she quit in the first place. However, she bounced back and went about her business like a professional.
While the business mogul is occupying herself with work, fans are still wondering if she will ever give reality shows a try in the future. In as much as the 60-year-old had some troubled moments on ‘RHOBH,’ she’s still an incredible person.
