It’s Britney AND Selena B**CH!
Selena Gomeztook her fans on a trip down memory lane with an iconic “transformation Tuesday” post this week.
Okay, it was more of a throwback, but for the sake of the day of the week and this story, it’s a “transformation Tuesday” in our books.
Selena must have either stumbled upon this in her home video archives or was feeling proud of how far she’s come since her early singing days.
Check out the hilarious video!
In the video we see a young Selena, maybe even a tween Selena, rocking a pair of sunglasses from the early 2000s & a black V-neck.
What’s even better is that Selena is performing Britney Spears’ song, “Don’t Go Knockin’ On My Door” in front of a greenscreen that gives the performance an extraterrestrial feel.
She captioned the post, “the hustle was real.”
Her friends and family members took the opportunity to comment on the video. Her mom Mandy Teefey wrote, “No doubt you were going to be successful!!!! XO”
Connar Franklin commented, “I am dying… why are you the exact same?” and Anna Ballins asked, “Are you 5 or 27 here I can’t tell.”
It’s clear from the comments, Selena hasn’t changed much and we love her for that!
Keepin’ it real and keepin’ it humble.
As for Selena & Britney’s relationship, this isn’t the first time the two have made mention of one another on social media.
In 2018, Britney thanked Selena (and her music) for pushing her through a workout.
Back in October 2018, Britney had posted this video working out to Selena’s song “Bad Liar.”
She captioned the video, “Long workout out today!!! @selenagomez definitely helped me get through it ? ? ?”
It’s clear these two ladies both keep their hustle game strong.
Selena has been busy at work with her Rare Beauty makeup line, and filming Hulu’s “Only Murders In The Building” with comedy legends, Steve Martin & Martin Short.
In a teaser trailer released earlier this month we see a chic looking Selena teaming up with Martin & Short to solve a murder mystery in their city apartment. The series premieres on August 31st on Hulu.
