Chanel West Coast is having the last laugh in designer Moschino sweats, complete with an uber-witty caption. The 32-year-old rapper and “Ridiculousness” star has spent much of the past year making it clear that her career rise was no picnic, with 2020 even seeing Chanel admit producers have told her to rap less and “sing more.” Posting for her 3.5 million Instagram followers today, the “No Plans” hit-maker showed off her latest matching look, and she even rocked her new pink hair. Likely back in L.A., but amid her announcement that she’s moving to Miami, FL, Chanel posted from an indoor brick area, all mean crouch, blue bucket hat, and wearing $$$ sweatpants from luxury Italian designer Moschino.
Chanel went for a tight pale blue tank, edgy kicks, and her final photo went grab-the-camera style.
The former “Fantasy Factory” face, now eyeing up Season 23 of “Ridiculousness,” took to her caption with a little motivation, writing: “Just when the caterpillar thought her life was over she began to fly.” West Coast added a heart emoji, with fans quickly saying she’s “always vibing.” Chanel, fresh from multiple designer looks including monogrammed Gucci on the MTV set, is also fresh from a new hair carousel, one taking the star from vivid green to cute and girly pink.
Chanel, who released her “America’s Sweetheart” album in October 2020 after nearly four years’ delay, last year opened up on Angela Yee’s “Lip Service” podcast, revealing it ain’t been easy.
“I think that a lot of people were confused, like, ‘why is this girl a rapper’, what’s your struggle, where do you come from,” she explained. “People don’t know that I’ve been rapping since I was a broke-ss.” Chanel has also revealed her mom grew weed to help pay the bills while growing up. Mother’s Day was not ignored by Chanel this year, with the star taking to Instagram to gush over mom Jamie “Penny Porsche” Dudley. Sharing dog-walking field photos, the rapper thanked her mother, writing:
“Thank you for all you have done for me in my life to make me the woman I am today. Thank you for being there for me when nobody else is. Thank you for being such a light in everyone’s life you come into. Thank you for keeping me grounded and mentally awake.”
