Demi Lovato, the 28-year-old “Sorry Not Sorry” singer just took social media by storm by announcing they are non-binary and will be changing their pronouns to they/them.
Addressing both Twitter and Instagram simultaneously, Demi had a powerful message for her fans and the world in general. And it came via her new podcast, “4D with Demi.”
There has been an outpouring of support from her fans on her social media accounts, and it seems all her struggles have finally brought her to her path of enlightenment.
Here’s all that Demi had to say…
Demi Lovato Had Something Important To Say
Demi started her video saying, “Every day we wake up, we are given another opportunity and chance to be who we want and wish to be. I’ve spent the majority of my life growing in front of all of you…”
She continued addressing her fans saying that they had seen the good, bad, and ugly, and that she had spent more time living in front of the cameras instead for herself.
And then she said, “Today is a day I’m so happy to share more of my life with you all”…
This is her new podcast.
They Just Announced They Are Non-Binary
Then Demi dropped the news, “I am proud to let you know that I identify as non-binary and will officially be changing my pronouns to they/them moving forward ? This has come after a lot of healing and self-reflective work.”
Of course, many of hers are by now aware of her struggles when her TV series “Demi Lovato: Dancing With the Devil” aired, and clearly, Lovato has come through a lot.
Her addictions nearly cost her her life, and she has made a huge effort to bring her life back around…
As Demi says it,
The Pronouns Will Change. As Will Their Life
She referenced the vulnerability of coming out in the caption as Demi went on to say, “I’m still learning and coming into myself, and I don’t claim to be an expert or a spokesperson. Sharing this with you now opens another level of vulnerability for me. I’m doing this for those out there that haven’t been able to share who they truly are with their loved ones. Please keep living in your truths and know I am sending so much love your way xox”.
Previously, she had already admitted that she was more of a pansexual and felt she was too “queer” to be in a relationship with a man, after she broke up with fiance Max Ehrich.

What Does Non-Binary Mean?
There are other celebrities who identify as non-binary, like “Me” singer Sam Smith and Courtney Stodden.
What does non-binary mean? Simply a person who feels that they cannot be defined by one gender, neither a man nor woman.
All we can do, to support anyone who comes out as non-binary is use the pronouns they define for themselves and ask any questions we have openly in order to better understand them
As far as Demi is concerned, we wish them all the very best for this new chapter in their lives… Even if she believes in aliens.
