Marilyn Manson‘s former assistant is accusing the singer of allegedly exploiting and victimizing her during her employment. She claims she was subjected to personal and professional sexual exploitation, manipulation, and psychological abuse.
In court documents obtained by The Blast, Ashley Walters, Manson’s former assistant, says she was treated like property and offered up to his famous friends and business contacts. She claims that she was exposed to abusive and sexually explicit harassment and mistreatment.
Walters recalled a provocative photoshoot in which the “Beautiful People” artist allegedly “pushed her onto his bed and pinned down her arms.” He allegedly tried to kiss her as she struggled to turn her head away.
Manson allegedly threw her against the wall and roughly shoved his tongue into her mouth on one incident as she tried leaving a video shoot. She claims the singer “frequently destroyed furniture, electronics, and other fixtures in his home during fits of rage” and would yell at her to put things in order.
The former assistant claims Manson openly spoke about gang affiliations and his ability to “destroy lives” and even have people killed if he so desired. She alleges he bragged about getting away with rape and says he threatened to commit suicide during drug-fueled binges. Her allegations continued, and she even claimed that he wanted to kill women he was involved with.
Walters specifically mentioned Manson’s ex-girlfriends, Evan Rachel Wood and Esme Bianco, and claims that she snuck food and drinks into the guest bathroom on more than one occasion because they often hid from the singer there.
Wood also made abuse allegations against the rocker with a pointed Instagram post. “The name of my abuser is Brian Warner, also known to the world as Marilyn Manson,” she wrote. “He started grooming me when I was a teenager and horrifically abused me for years.”
She continued, I was brainwashed and manipulated into submission. I am done living in fear of retaliation, slander, or blackmail. I am here to expose this dangerous man and call out the many industries that have enabled him before he ruins any more lives. I stand with the many victims who will no longer be silent.”
Manson recently responded to sexual abuse allegations on his Instagram. “Obviously, my art and my life have long been magnets for controversy, but these recent claims about me are horrible distortions of reality. My intimate relationships have always been entirely consensual with like-minded partners. Regardless of how – and why – others are now choosing to misrepresent the past, that is the truth.”
