Carrie Underwood is showing off her amazing “Sunday tradition,” one that came with random veggie leftovers the 38-year-old had lying about the house. Posting to Instagram earlier today, the “Southbound” hit-maker proved she’s a hit in the kitchen, too, with the “American Idol” OG even revealing that youngest son Jacob is a fan. The blonde’s results came via a flawless crustless quiche, one that was heavy on the healthy greens and via a recipe from her “Find Your Path” book. Check it out below.
Scroll for the photo, one you might want to re-create at home and can via the March 2020-released diet and exercise book from Carrie. The CALIA by Carrie founder’s photo, a simple home snap, showed the vegetable goodness and the fruits of her labor. A round white plate had been laid out with the circular and clearly home-baked quiche, with spinach and peppers popping out of the eggy French dish.
Carrie also revealed that making it from scratch has become a “Sunday tradition.”
Taking to her caption, the blonde told her 10.2 million followers: “This has become a Sunday tradition…making the crustless quiche from my book #FindYourPath . I had several small bits of leftovers in the fridge (sweet potatoes, broccoli and cauliflower) so I threw those in…as well as some kale from my garden!”
“You can pretty much throw in whatever you have on hand and it’ll turn out delicious!” Carrie added, with the post clocking a sweet 10,000+ likes in under 30 minutes.
The mom of two, married to husband Mike Fisher since 2010 and raising sons Isaiah and Jacob, then mentioned her youngest.
“My little guy, Jake, loves this, so I try to always have one in the fridge because it’s full of so many veggies! Plus, me cooking in the kitchen is one of my happy places, so it seems to fit on a Sunday afternoon!”
Carrie, who employs a #ChooseYou for her 2015-founded clothing line, then hoped fans “do something for yourself.” See the workout selfie below!
Carrie is now as much a fitness icon as a music one. The “My Gift” singer has been making headlines galore as she continues to promote CALIA, a brand that already ranked third after Nike and Under Armour at Dick’s Sporting Goods in 2016. Last year, Carrie launched her Fit52 workout app, one that now includes husband Mike and came the same month as the release of “Find Your Path.” The book actually experienced a spike in sales during the pandemic’s first wave.
