It wasn’t too long ago that Selena Gomez was confiding in her fans about the possibility of retiring from music. Now, she is suggesting that a new album is on the way. Earlier this week the actress posted a photo on Instagram of a bracelet that read “SG3”, which caused many of her fans to begin speculating that it stood for “Selena Gomez 3” which would be the possible title for the album. Apparently, fans have been waiting for the moment that Gomez would bless them with more music.
Is New Music Coming?
“SG3 IS COMING!!!! YEEEESSSSSS I’VE BEEN WAITING FOR HER BAD BITH ERA.” “THE HYPE IS REAL SHE’S COMING!!!. THE START OF A NEW ERA. SG3 IS COMING.” Commented an extremely excited fan.
However, some fans took the time to break down the message before they got their hopes up. “I thought Rare was ‘SG3’ since Stars Dance and Revival were her first two non-[Selena Gomez & the Scene] albums,” wrote the fan. Gomez has a couple of detectives for fans who are trying their hardest to get to the bottom of the message.
Does Taylor Swift Have Anything To Do With It?
Some fans even speculated that the singer is going the route of Taylor Swift and recording an album that she has control over. While it is all speculation, Gomez’s fans refuse to believe that her last album will be Rare despite her thoughts on retirement. “It’s hard to keep doing music when people don’t necessarily take you seriously,” Gomez told Vogue a few earlier this year. “I’ve had moments where I’ve been like, ‘What’s the point? Why do I keep doing this?’ ‘Lose You to Love Me’ I felt was the best song I’ve ever released, and for some people, it still wasn’t enough.”
Music Isn’t What She Thought It Would Be
The actress, who got her start on “Disney’s Wizards of Waverly Place,” ventured into music and has had great success but still feels like it should be more rewarding.
“I think there are a lot of people who enjoy my music, and for that, I’m so thankful, for that I keep going,” she shared, “but I think the next time I do an album, it’ll be different.” Admitting that at this point she has one foot in and one foot out when it comes to music.
No Harm In Trying, Right?
“I want to give it one last try before I maybe retire music,” she continued. However, she made sure to “be careful” about using the word retirement because she still plans on doing other things in the industry like producing and maybe more acting.
For now, she is focused on a film she stars in directed by Drake called “Spiral,” her HBO show “Selena + Chef” has been renewed for a new season and she also has a part in the upcoming film “Only Murderers In The Building.”
