Courtney Stodden has accepted Chrissy Teigen‘s apology, but also questioned her motive.
The influencer broke her silence hours after Teigen took to Twitter to publically apologize for cyberbullying her on Wednesday, May 12. Courtney and Chrissy have a long history of going at it on social media, but Teigen came clean in her apology about being “an insecure, attention seeking troll” and admitted she is “ashamed” of her past actions. Stodden posted a photo that showed that Chrissy is still blocking her on Twitter and claimed that she or her camp never reached out to her.
“I accept her apology and forgive her. But the truth remains the same, I have never heard from her or her camp in private,” Courtney claimed. “In fact, she blocked me on Twitter.”
She continued, “All of me wants to believe this is a sincere apology, but it feels like a public attempt to save her partnerships with Target and other brands who are realizing her ‘wokeness’ is a broken record.”
Courtney previously claimed that Chrissy told her to kill herself among other cyberbullying accusations, and seems to be skeptical of her tweets. However, Teigen did take full responsibility for their interactions.
“Not a lot of people are lucky enough to be held accountable for all their past bullshit in front of the entire world. I’m mortified and sad at who I used to be. I was an insecure, attention seeking troll,” Chrissy Tweeted. “I am ashamed and completely embarrassed at my behavior but that is nothing compared to how I made Courtney feel.”
She went on and claimed that she reached out to Courtney privately, something that Stodden dispelled in her two-faced acceptance message.
“I have tried to connect with Courtney privately but since I publicly fueled all this, I want to also publicly apologize. I’m so sorry, Courtney. I hope you can heal now knowing how deeply sorry I am,” she tweeted.
And I am so sorry I let you guys down. I will forever work on being better than I was 10 years ago, 1 year ago, 6 months ago.
