There are only two more weeks left in season 5 of “The Masked Singer” and the Yeti, the Black Swan, the Piglet, the Russian Dolls, and the Chameleon are all battling it out to win the coveted Golden Mask Trophy.
“Holey Moley” will be returning to Fox for its third season on June 17, 2021.
The Russian Dolls
The Russian Dolls showed the audience an exclusive look at what it looked like inside their helmet and, spoiler alert, they can’t see much!
One of the Russian Dolls compared it to “walking around a sandbag, if the sandbag was four feet around.”
They revealed that the star that inspired them was Weird Al Yankovic, who gave them “great direction” in their lives.
After a performance of “I’m Still Standing” by Elton John, Rob said that they might be Il Divo. Ken proposed Bare Naked Ladies after initially suggesting the band Savage Garden, and Nicole seemed sure in her guess of the band Hanson.
The Black Swan
The Black Swan revealed that she had some disappointments in her career that made her frightened to take risks, but she was glad to have said ‘Yes!’ to “The Masked Singer.”
“We’ve both been a part of iconic fantasy films,” she said, sharing that her inspiration was singer and actress Cher.
She performed her own rendition Ed Sheeran’s “Thinking Out Loud” which stunned the judging panel.
Dua Lipa was Ken’s guess, but Robin seemed sure that it was Normani from Fifth Harmony.
Piglet said that he was watching season 1 with his child when they had indicated they wanted him to play a pig if he ever appeared on the show “so it all worked out.”
The Piglet taught him how to be a “big ham,” saying that he wanted to win for himself, his family, and his “fellow action star” Bruce Willis.
Piglet performed Stevie Wonder’s “Superstition,” revealing a new set of powerhouse vocals that had Rob Riggle showing off all of his dance moves.
Yeti admitted that he was trying to show off a new side to himself each week, without the pressure of trying to be perfect.
Tonight, he dedicated his song to Diddy, whom he has worked with before, saying that he helped him reach “the top of the mountain.”
Yeti performed the country song “Bless the Broken Road” by Rascal Flatts.
After learning that Yeti was a “triple threat,” Robin suggested that it might be singer, actor, and dancer Channing Tatum. Since Yeti said he collaborated with Diddy, Ken went with rapper Twista, whereas Jenny suggested Ne-Yo.
Chameleon claims that he is not a singer and said he only decided to do this show for fun, although he did hint that he had a theatre background, which surprised the judges.
They were also stunned when he revealed that his personal hero was actor and martial artist Jackie Chan.
The judges were on their feet when Chameleon started to rap “Drop It Like It’s Hot” by Snoop Dogg, featuring Pharrell Williams.
Although Nicole’s first impression guess was the entire cast of “Glee,” she changed her guess to Hanson.
Robin’s first impression guess was the Black Eyed Peas but he decided to change his guess to Sugarland.
Jenny thought that it was Boyz II Men, but she also changed her vote to Hanson.
Ken’s first impression was Donnie and Marie Osmond, but changed his guess to Jonas Brothers.
Rob Riggle first thought it was Il Divo, but decided to change his pick to Hanson as well.
Taylor, Isaac, and Zac Hanson were finally unmasked, saying that they liked the opportunity to play to “a whole new audience.”
