Courtney Stodden Calls Out Teigen’s Bullying
The latest controversy surrounding Teigen’s speak before you think habit comes from Courtney Stodden. The 26-year-old model/actress has come forward with bullying accusations against Teigen.
Stodden gained notoriety in 2011 when at the age of 16 she married 51-year-old actor Doug Hutchison. The marriage drew criticism due to the huge age difference. Stodden and Hutchison’s marriage was turbulent, filled with lots of break ups and reconciliations. In March 2020, the couple officially divorced.
Stodden claimed that following her marriage to Hutchison she was the victim of bullying. She alleges that other celebrities harassed her via social media, and Teigen was one of them.
Teigen DM’d Stodden
Stodden’s bullying allegations towards Teigen started back in March. When Teigen announced she was taking a break from Twitter due to negativity, Stodden called her out for her hypocrisy. She then revealed that as a teen, Teigen used to bully her via Twitter.
In a recent interview with “The Daily Beast,” Stodden revealed how far Teigen went with her harassment. Stodden explained that aside from directly tweeting her on the bird app, Teigen would also send her DMs. According to Stodden, Teigen’s messages consisted of things such as telling Courtney to kill herself and “I can’t wait for you to die.”
Chrissy’s Old Tweets Come Back To Haunt Her
Stodden’s allegations are damaging to Teigen’s reputation. Although, Chrissy’s followers are defending the model, some of her old tweets add a hint of truth to Stodden’s claims.
After Stodden came forward with her story, old tweets from Chrissy to a teenage Courtney began to resurface. The tweets from 2011 to 2012 consist of Teigen slut shaming to Stodden, and proclaiming “I hate you” towards the teen girl. In one tweet, Teigen writes to Stodden, “my Friday fantasy: you. dirt nap. mmmmmm baby.”

Earlier today, Teigen went on Twitter to issue an apology for her actions. The model says she’s ashamed and embarrassed by her behavior, and she’s reaching out privately and publicly to Courtney.
