For the past three years, Meghan Markle has become a media sensation. The 39-year-old has made waves as she went from being an actress to becoming part of royalty. Longtime Meghan fans know her from her role on the USA Network legal drama “Suits.” Markle was part of the show for seven seasons before leaving in 2017 following her engagement to Prince Harry.
Meghan and Harry’s whirlwind, fairytale romance made headline news. The couple wed in May 2018 with over 29 million viewers watching the broadcast. Less than a year later, Meghan and Harry became parents when she gave birth to their son Archie.
In January 2020, Harry and Meghan announced they would be stepping away from their royal duties. The two also revealed their plans to relocate to the United States and to be financially independent. The couple’s decision stemmed from the British press’ negative treatment of Meghan.
Since making their exit, the couple has set up their home in Montecito, California. Meghan and Harry have adjusted to their new life sans royal titles. Harry has landed a job as Chief Impact Officer for a start up company called BetterUp. Aside from his new job, Harry is also preparing for fatherhood again. Meghan is pregnant with the couple’s second child, a daughter, due later this summer.
Gorgeous In Red With Long Hair
Although Meghan and Harry may have stepped down from their royal duties, that hasn’t stopped the couple from becoming advocates. The pair are hands-on when it comes to charity and raising awareness for important issues. This past weekend, Meghan made a virtual appearance at the VAX Live concert in Los Angeles.
In her video, Meghan looked radiant in a red floral Carolina Herrera dress. Markle kept her accessories to a minimum wearing only a gold necklace and bracelet. As for hair and makeup, Markle kept that simple. For her hairstyle, Meghan’s let her long, dark locks flow freely.
How To Get Meghan’s Hair Bun?
Meghan has sported various hairstyles, but the one that has become her signature is the messy bun. During several appearances, Meghan was rocking the bun look, which has become quite popular. Meghan’s messy bun style was created with the help of her former hairdresser George Northwood.
With everyone wanting to know the secret behind the messy bun, Northwood recently created a how-to tutorial on how to achieve the look. The first step is to spray the front sections, then tong away both sides of the front as you work on the back section. Next, Northwood says to lift the sections at the top of the hair and add a dose of spray, then backcomb. This move will help to create texture.
For the next part, Northwood says to pull the hair into a ponytail tightly at the nape. Then lightly pull some hair at the top of the head to create the height look of the bun. Next, Northwood says to twist the ponytail a few times, then work it into a coil shape to create the bun aspect. Once that’s complete, take a few pins to secure the bun in the back.
To finish off the messy bun look, Northwood suggest hair moisturizing cream and spray for the front parts. Add a little to the loose curls framing the face to give it the messy look that Meghan sports so well.
