Last week, Floyd Mayweather and Jake Paul dominated headlines after the two got into a physical altercation at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami. This event was for the upcoming exhibition boxing match between Floyd and Jake’s brother, Logan. Floyd and Jake ran into each other as Jake proposed that they fight as well. Floyd was accepting this offer and then, Jake said “gotcha hat” and ran off with Floyd’s hat. This caused chaos in that scene as Floyd tried to get to Jake as both sides were being held back.
Jake And Logan Hire 24/7 Security
The situation with Floyd got so serious that now, the Paul brothers are deciding to step up their security, according to TMZ. Logan spoke with the outlet and revealed that they have decided to now have 24/7 security with them. In his words, they are there “at all times.” During the Floyd altercation, he threatened to kill Jake so now, the two brothers are being as cautious as possible. Paul went on to explain why they have to take these comments from someone like Floyd very seriously.
Logan Says Floyd Has Many Connections When It Comes To Finding People
Logan says that Floyd has the resources along with power in his wealth to be able to get to people who he wants touched. So, when the Paul brothers hear that one of them could get killed, they made sure to be as secure as possible with their safety in regards to security.
“Dawg, when you have a guy with the resources and the wealth that Floyd Mayweather has and the connection and the network and he’s saying s***, ‘I’mma kill that motherf***er’ — kill?! Death?! You’re gonna kill my brother over a f***ing hat?! Yo, we take that s*** seriously man!”
Mayweather Said Jake Paul Wanted To ‘Test The Waters’
Shortly after the altercation between Floyd and Jake went down, Floyd soon sat down for an interview with Barstool Sports to discuss it. He believes that Jake was bold enough to “test the waters” with him. In the end, Floyd believes that it was a “it is what it is” situation. He also added that he was able to get the hat that was stolen from him and did emphasize that it doesn’t have any significance despite his reaction of it being taken away from him.
Logan Is Viewed As An Underdog In Fight Vs Floyd
June 6 is rapidly approaching as many are ready to see Floyd and Logan finally get inside the ring together. The fight is expected to do huge numbers in terms of pay-per-view buys on Showtime and Fanmio but many don’t expect it to be competitive. Floyd is universally seen as one of the best boxers of all-time with a 50-0 record and Logan is 0-1 as a professional fighter. Despite Floyd being 44-years-old, he is favored by many to win this fight vs Logan fairly easily.
