In 2016, Fox TV premiered the show “Lucifer“, featuring British actor Tom Ellis, who you may have spotted as Gary Preston in the BBC sitcom “Miranda”. And the world swooned.
Ellis as the devil with a heart of gold soon took over the fevered imaginations of both female and male fans and the character rose to become a sort of LGBTQ icon.
After three seasons, Fox canceled the show, but public outcry rose so much, Netflix picked it up. And since then, seeing Tom Ellis in the buff has been his pride and our joy.

Netflix Lets Lucifer Push The Boundaries
To seem Tom Ellis shirtless is a given in Lucifer, and the man is really the devil if the muscles are to be believed. Ripped and with the devil’s own good looks, the sudden cancellation of the show by Fox left fans bereft.
After a long time, May 8th, 2019 became the date when Lucifer returned with season four, this time on Netflix. The advantage of being on Netflix, of course, is that Ellis could push the boundaries of skin and skin, just a little more.
Not that anyone is complaining!
There’s A Workout Behind The Man
Tom Ellis alone has some 8.8 million followers on Instagram, but even the official Lucifer handle, via Netflix, is more than 3.5 million fans deep.
And a lot of that fan following is because Tom Ellis looks so good, people either want him or want to look like him. But he’s happy to give out his secrets and has done so on his IG page, because there’s a whole workout behind the man, and it’s making everyone drool!

Being Nude Is Ellis’ ‘Moment Of Pride’
In an interview with Vulture magazine, Ellis admitted that while there are constraints on what you can show on network TV, Netflix does not work like that. This is why suddenly, he had to be in far better shape than before, although even now, no scene in Lucifer borders on the vulgar. It’s all suggestive.
Said Ellis, “I also lost a bet to my trainer when we got picked up for season four, which meant I had to get back into a different kind of shape than I’d been in before. I had a moment of pride with how I felt and how I looked. I wasn’t against the idea of nudity.”

Have A Laugh About It
Ever since Lucifer has moved to Netflix, Ellis has had to strip a lot more, so walking on set with a “bag on his privates” has now become part of the job description.
But Ellis does not mind at all, and although he says it is not glamourous in the least, he says he manages by having a laugh about it.
And how did his cast and crew react to his sleeker, meaner body? Says Ellis, “I think my makeup artist said it best. She went, ‘Oh my God, you look like you’ve eaten yourself!'”
