Mother’s Day was celebrated nationwide on Sunday as plenty of celebrities took to social media to show love to the women that mean the most to them. One of them is Drake, who took the time to do so as well on his Instagram feed. The women that he gave special shout outs for was his mother and Sophie Brussaux, who is the mother of his son, Adonis, who is 3-years-old and was introduced to the world in 2020.
Drake Shouts Out Sophie Brussaux On Instagram
One of the posts that Drake has is in his Instagram stories as it includes Brussaux and Adonis smiling for a cute photo. Drake’s caption in the story was “Happy Mother’s Day big mama @sophieknowsbetter.” Brussaux went on to repost Drake’s IG story and also shared a heart drawing done by Adonis. Many users on the app loved how the two continue to co-parent and show the kind of love towards Adonis that they always do on social media. They also love seeing how much bigger he is getting.
Drake Also Posted Throwback Photo With His Mother
In addition to Brussaux, Drake made sure to show his mother love as well as he posted a throwback photo with her on his main Instagram feed. Here, Drake is seen as a child as he is sporting a purple shirt and hat. His mother donned a pink shirt with a pair of sunglasses.
“Only look for sympathy inside my mothers eyes,” said Drake in his Instagram caption.”
Fans soon began to insert a myriad of heart emojis in Drake’s comments as they loved this heartfelt throwback moment.
Drake Had Mother’s Day Candle Giveaway
Earlier this week, Drake also partnered with Uber Eats to have a free scented candle giveaway for Mother’s Day. This partnership was also done with restaurants in his home country of Canada. Areas included were Toronto and Vancouver. The scented smells are Sweeter Tings,” “Williamsburg Sleepover,” “Good Thoughts,” “Muskoka” and “Carby Musk.” This lasted from May 7 all the way until the end of Mother’s Day. In order to receive the free candles, customers would’ve had to spend $50 on their food orders.
Drake Has Been Dominant This Spring
Drake is also still winning big as one of the best artists in the world. In early March, he put out his “Scary Hours 2” EP, as this came after the delay of his “Certified Lover Boy” album in January. Scary Hours 2 contained three songs in “What’s Next,” “Wants And Needs” feat. Lil Baby, and “Lemon Pepper Freestyle” feat. Rick Ross. All three songs made history as well by debuting in the top three of the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
