Victoria Beckham may be known for her stylish ways, insanely fit body and her husband, former soccer superstar David Beckham, but before all of this she made up one of the five Spice Girls.
The UK girl group literally took over the world throughout the ‘90s with their chart-topping pop songs & girl power movement.
Seriously though, the Spice Girls are timeless and their songs are still blasted all over the world.
It’s been years since the girl group disbanded in 1998 after a rift between a few of the bandmates, but they have since regrouped for special one-off performances.
Even better, according to NME the Spice Girls are set to embark on a reunion world tour this year to mark their 25th anniversary.
The ‘90s child inside is SCREAMING!
Given its 2021 and the reunion world tour is going down this year, Victoria must’ve been practicing getting into character as she posted a sexy little Posh-inspired number on Instagram.
On May 8th, Victoria posted a pic of her in a tiny little black dress, loose waves & threw up a peace sign, which is synonymous with the Spice Girls!
That tiny little black dress is giving me “SpiceWorld” “little Gucci dress” vibes.
Anyone remember that?
Victoria captioned the sexy pic, “Hoping you all have a spicy Saturday!! ?️✌️ Kisses!”
‘Spicy Saturday.’ We see what you did there Victoria. Clearly the spice life is on her mind.
The recent nostalgia might also be in part to Victoria taking a trip down memory lane for the podcast “Breaking Beauty.”
During a recent interview with Dear Media’s ‘BB’ podcast, Victoria recalled the time she and Beyonce first met a few years back, to which Bey couldn’t help but gush over the former girl group.
On the podcast Victoria said, “Beyonce said to me, ‘It was the Spice Girls that inspired me and made me want to do what I do and made me proud to be a girl. I’m proud to be who I am.’”
Talk about GIRL POWER!
Victoria was left nearly speechless by Beyonce’s kind words. She said, “When someone like Beyoncé, who is so iconic and such a strong woman, says that she was inspired by the Spice Girls, I think that that’s quite something.”
The impact the Spice Girls had on the world was profound and everlasting, which Victoria recognizes.
She continued on saying, “I look at us all, and it makes me smile because we didn’t care. Whether it was fashion or beauty, we didn’t care. We wore what made us feel good. We weren’t worried, ‘Is this the newest, coolest?’ We set trends because there was no fear.”
And when it came to the five ladies’ differences, so what, that is what made them so unique and dynamic according to Victoria!
