In this case, prosecutors reviewed the video footage and decided to decline to file any charges against either of the parties. In other words, they are both cleared of the incident.

According to the report, after reviewing the footage, prosecutors felt that there was “no likelihood of a conviction for either party.’
Interestingly, after the footage was made public several weeks ago, police began investigating the case and wished to speak with both Quavo and Saweetie. In early April, detectives reviewed the video and considered it an “instance of domestic violence.”
Apparently, at the time, they felt this was an instance where “both parties are in the wrong.” But, according to the latest reports, a meeting never happened with the famous couple and the decision was made without actually speaking with them.

After the incident, both parties issued statements about the situation saying it was an “unfortunate incident.”
“We had an unfortunate situation almost a year ago that we both learned and moved on from, I haven’t physically abused Saweetie and have real gratitude for what we did share overall,” Quavo said.
Saweetie added, “This unfortunate incident happened a year ago, while we have reconciled since then and moved past this particular disagreement, there were simply too many other hurdles to overcome in our relationship and we have both since moved on.”
