Diddy showed love to his fans south of the border with a festive tequila-fueled dance!
The music mogul celebrated Cinco de Mayo by starting the day off with a shot of his own tequila brand, DeLeón Tequila, on Wednesday, May 5. “I always like a nice shot before I brush my teeth,” Diddy said before downing the tasty tequila. He took a shot before he managed to get a shirt on, but he made sure his sombrero was in full effect! A few hours later, and Sean Combs, who changed his middle name to Love, felt like dancing!
Wearing a yellow outfit with embroidered red roses, the fun-loving entrepreneur danced like no one was watching, even though it was for an advertisement. “The LOVE Cinco. ?✨?” he wrote alongside his sort Cha Cha.
“Happy Cinco de Mayo,” Love Combs said. “Shout out to all my Mexican brothers and sisters. Today we celebrate you! We celebrate rebellion. We celebrate audacity. We celebrate with DeLeón Tequila!”
Interestingly enough, DeLeón Tequila was first introduced to the U.S. market on Cinco de Mayo 2009. Years later, it was announced that Diddy would be joining the brand after his success with Ciroc. In 2013, he revealed that he actually purchased 50% of the company with Diageo, the beverage company he does business with.
Combs proved to his followers once and for all that Love is at the center of everything he does on May 4. After playing with the idea of a name change for years, Diddy shared a picture of his new Florida driver’s license, and sure enough, it says his middle name is Love.
“Look what I just got in the mail today… ??✨⚡️IT’S OFFICIAL!!! WELCOME TO THE LOVE ERA,” he captioned the smiling license photo.
He doubled down for all the non-believers and shared a snippet of the official legal documents. “Imma need y’all to take me seriously on this one!!! ?? #TheLoveEra LOVE ??✨⚡️,” he wrote.
