In Rebel Wilson‘s case, always being a bridesmaid is a good thing!
The “Pooch Perfect” host showed off a cool class ring given to her by “Bridesmaids” director, Paul Feig on the tenth anniversary of the film’s release. Wilson put the jeweled ring on display via her IG story on Wednesday, May 5. Rebel’s reveal leads us to assume that Feig sent the entire cast the gift, which has the name of the impactful movie etched into the top of the piece of jewelry. The actress, who had a small but memorable role as Kristen Wiig‘s strange roommate, set her video to the film’s unofficial theme song, “Hold On” by Wilson Phillips.
“Thank you @paulfeig you classy gentleman!” she wrote across the ring clip. “Can’t believe it’s been 10 years since BRIDESMAIDS.”
The ring also featured the song name with a 2021 10-year emblem, while the other side had her name, “Wilson,” etched into it.
Rebel’s co-star, Maya Rudolph revealed to Entertainment Tonight that she is on board to do a sequel a few weeks ahead of the 10th anniversary. The “Saturday Night Live” alum joked about what the possible name could be. “Well, I guess it wouldn’t be called Bridesmaids, it would be called Old Ladies or something,” she told ET. “I’d be down.”
Rebel’s positive ring post comes just days after the star opened up to her fans about her fertility struggles. She shared a somber-looking photo and included a very candid caption.
“? I got some bad news today and didn’t have anyone to share it with…but I guess I gotta tell someone. To all the women out there struggling with fertility, I feel ya. The universe works in mysterious ways and sometimes it all doesn’t make sense…but I hope there’s light about to shine through all the dark clouds,” she wrote on May 3.
After receiving a ton of support, the actress gave a positive update.
“UPDATE just wanted to say I woke up this morning and read through everyone’s kind messages and stories about their journeys and I can’t tell you how much that meant to me and has made me feel a lot better today. Social media for the win here in terms of creating connection when I was in a very lonely place. So thank you everyone ?,” she wrote.
