Caitlyn Jenner has just released the first political video for her campaign for California Governer — and it’s clear the Olympic Gold Medalist wants to remind everyone of her former glory!
The ‘Keeping Up With The Kardashians’ star dropped the 3-minute video on Instagram, which features a montage of footage from her gold-medal-winning Olympic run.
Interestingly, the video doesn’t feature any of the Kardashian’s nor does it even show Caitlyn with any of her famous daughters. As we reported, it may be because they have made it clear, they won’t be hitting the campaign trail anytime soon!

According to multiple reports, the first video released didn’t come with a few hiccups, including an announcement that misspelled her own name.
In a news release, which initially sent out the video, it referred to her as “Cailyn” before eventually getting it right and fixing the problem. Obviously, the clip also introduces her to voters as a Republican candidate for Governor of California.
If you didn’t know, Jenner won the decathlon in the 1976 Olympics and appeared on the front of a Wheaties box. She eventually hooked up with Kris Jenner, and the reality is reality show history.

In the video, Caitlyn recalls coming to California 48 years ago to live out her dream of being a top-tier athlete. But, now realizes, what the state needs is a “thoughtful disruptor” to restore our freedoms.
“I want to carry the torch for the parents who had to balance work and their child’s education, for business owners who were forced to shut down, for pastors who were not able to be with their congregation, for the family who lost their home in a fire, for an entire generation of students who lost a year of education,” Caitlyn said.
Interestingly, although Caitlyn is touting herself as a non-political type candidate and being in the race for both sides of the aisle — the video included a bit of mudslinging against Gavin Newsom and Nancy Pelosi.
The video included the famous clip of Pelosi at the hairdresser and screengrabs of Newsom at the French Laundry dinner party. As you recall, both incidents went down during the pandemic lockdown.
