Los Angeles Police Department has arrested FIVE suspects for allegedly taking part in the Lady Gaga dognapping case -- and the charges range from robbery to attempted murder!

According to multiple reports, the LAPD made the arrests on Thursday, following a several-month-long investigation into the horrific kidnapping and shooting.

The police department confirmed the arrests but has not released specific information about the identity of the individuals. As you know, several men were caught on tape snatching the dogs and shooting Gaga's dogwalker in the chest.

Incredibly, the woman who "found" the dogs was also arrested in the case after police became suspicious of the person's story.

As we reported, Lady Gaga was advised NOT to pay the $500,000 reward until they continued questioning the woman and got the complete story. According to one report, LAPD gathered video of the dogs being left in an alley a few days after the kidnapping -- and the video became key evidence in finding the criminals.

Woman Who Returned The Dogs Is Also Arrested In The Case!

As we reported, the dogs were brought to an LAPD station by a woman who claimed she found them in an alley. At the time, the police department said the woman was "uninvolved and unassociated" with the attack.

A disturbing video of the violent shooting was released to the media, following the incident, and LAPD said the suspects were "probably individuals that recognize the value of the dogs," and didn't believe they knew how famous the owner of the animals was at the time.

At this point, police believe the suspects got nervous after seeing the news coverage of their alleged crimes -- and decided to return the dogs and cash in on the reward at the same time.

Lady Gaga's dogwalker, Ryan Fischer, spent several weeks in the hospital recovering from the gunshot wound to the chest. "I continue to love you Ryan Fischer, you risked your life to fight for our family," Gaga posted on IG.

Adding, "You're forever a hero."

It's unclear if the assailants are being held on bail, or if they are being arraigned in L.A. County Courts.
