Willow Smith doesn't stick to just one genre... she goes wherever the music moves her!

The "Wait A Minute!" singer just released her performance visual for her new pop-punk song, "Transparent Soul," on Tuesday, April 27, and it shows Willow as we have never seen her before! The 20-year-old had her braids done up in a wild fashion as she sported and spiked collar, a belt with dozens of metal rings, and lots of leather as she sang her heart out. Smith, who has experimented with lots of musical genres in the past, enlisted the help of famed punk rock drummer, Travis Barker (it seems like he is featured on everything) to make her latest pop-punk song hit home.

"I am so GRATEFUL and EXCITED to start this new journey!" Willow wrote on social media while announcing that her song is out on all platforms. "THANK YOU to @vernonfrancois @raoulalejandre @trippydana @chloeandchenelle @tylrewilcox for helping me execute my creative vision for the visualizer πŸ™πŸΎ you are DEEPLY appreciated ❀️."

The talented musician has been feeling a different vibe ever since her grandma, Adrienne Banfield-Norris bought her a seven-string guitar for her birthday on October 31. She teased fans by sharing clips of friends and herself jamming classic metal tunes like "RX Queen" by the Deftones. "Please make a rock album pleassssse πŸ™ŒπŸΎπŸ’•," one fan wrote at the time. Fast forward a few months, and Willow delivered!

It is interesting to see Willow's new look and style, but it isn't that far out of left field. Her mother, [Jada Pinkett Smith, was the lead singer of a metal band named Wicked Wisdom](https://theblast.com/151826/willow-smith-takes-after-her-metal-mama-jada-pinkett-smith-with- in the early 2000s. They even performed at Ozzfest in 2005. Their song, "Bleed All Over Me", is still celebrated in the metal-loving parts of South America. Like mother, like daughter!
