Ronnie Ortiz-Magro is speaking out for the first time she he was arrested on charges of domestic violence.
On Monday, days after the “Jersey Shore” cast member was accused of causing injuries to an intimate partner, who was not named, he released a statement on his Instagram Stories.
“I am grateful for all of my real friends! Thank you for being by myself the last few [weeks]. I take all experiences as lessons,” he wrote, via an April 26 report from TooFab.

“You learn who really cares about you when [you’re] down and out and [then] you see who doesn’t! But I guess they call it the weeding process,” he explained.
Ortiz-Magro, who spent time behind bars after his arrest but was ultimately released on bail, went on to say thank his friends who have remained close to his side, despite the circumstance he’s found himself in.
“Thank you to my real friends who haven’t left my side and haven’t betrayed me!” he said.
Ronnie Ortiz-Magro’s Girlfriend Speaks Out
Around the time of Ortiz-Magro’s statement, Saffire Mattos, who he went public with at the end of last year on Instagram, also spoke out on her Instagram Stories, suggesting false rumors were being spread.
“Ronnie and I are fine there is a lot of misleading information floating around out there,” Mattos stated, according to a report from Yahoo! Entertainment. “With anybody who reached out with concern I appreciate it with all my heart, but everything that’s being portrayed out there are not facts.”

“I don’t think it’s fair that people are using false accusations to gain attention,” she continued.
Mattos didn’t say what it was, or who, she was referring to in her cryptic message, but she could have been suggesting that Ortiz-Magro’s ex-girlfriend, Jenn Hartley, was pushing false info.
As some may have seen, Hartley was quite vocal on social media after learning that Ortiz-Magro had gotten arrested during his visitation time with their child. She also confirmed she had driven to Los Angeles to pick their daughter up.

As her message continued, Mattos, who never disclosed whether or not she was the woman who had allegedly had an altercation with Ortiz-Magro, told her fans and followers that she would like to be left alone.
“Please leave Ron and I alone. You don’t know what someone is going through at the end of the day. Don’t believe everything you hear or read online,” she advised.
Mattos then asked for privacy and thanked those who have given her support.
“I’d appreciate privacy please. Thanks for all your support,” she wrote.
