Bethenny Frankel is newly engaged to boyfriend Paul Bernon with no immediate plans to wed. However, according to a new report, the former “Real Housewives of New York City” star does have plans to sign a prenuptial agreement before saying “I do.”
Following a messy divorce from former spouse Jason Hoppy, who she fought with in court for longer than they were actually married, an insider has informed In Touch Weekly that Frankel is determined to protect herself from another potentially tense split.
Bethenny Frankel And Paul Bernon Are Reportedly In Negotiations
“She loves Paul more than anything and knows this is it, but she still feels they should have a prenup,” the insider explained, via a report from All About the Real Housewives. “She’s worth at least $80 million and wants to protect herself.”
According to the report, Bernon has allegedly seen the prenuptial agreement already. But, because he wasn’t happy with certain stipulations mentioned, the two of them are still negotiating.
“A prenup is extremely practical. Both parties involved should know this by now. Hopefully, Paul’s feelings won’t stay hurt for too long,” the source stated.
Bethenny Frankel’s Attorney Is Believed To Be Working Hard On The Document
According to another report from Star, magazine, also via All About the Real Housewives, Frankel’s attorney is hard at work on the prenuptial agreement.
“Bethenny’s not stupid enough to walk into this without an iron-clad prenup. She’s got her lawyer working on the paperwork,” their insider, who is an alleged friend of the couple explained. “Bethenny’s seen how money can destroy relationships, and she doesn’t want that happening to her and Paul. If he really loves her, he’ll sign on the dotted line.”
Bethenny Frankel Will Spare No Expense On Upcoming Wedding
A third report revealed that while Frankel isn’t ready to get married quite yet, she plans to throw an over-the-top event when she is, and will spare no expense doing so. As an OK! Magazine insider shared, Bernon has reportedly given Bethenny the go-ahead “to spend whatever she wants” on their wedding.
“She’s thinking 50,000 roses, champagne, gilt-edged classes, a garden setting with fountains, dancers, and a choir,” their source explained.
As for who will attend, the report revealed that a number of A-listers will be invited, including Ryan Murphy and Mark Cuban.
Many ‘RHONY’ Cast Members Will Allegedly Be Invited
As for Frankel’s former cast mates of “The Real Housewives New York City,” the source went on to say that many of the ladies, likely including Dorinda Medley, “will make the cut.”
Frankel “wants the event to be perfect and expects the best of everything,” the insider added. “This wedding is going to set them back at least $10 million.”
“The Real Housewives of New York City” cast is set to return to Bravo for an 13th season on May 4 at 9/8c.
